INVASION

The undead are coming from Doomwood! We need to push them back and defend town. If we get overrun.... the town will be destroyed! Defeat a wave of 'em and add it to our score! Once we beat all of them, we can battle the whatever monster is behind this!

  • Battle! - continues quest.

  • Exit - returns to Falconreach (Books 1 and 2).

    • Guardian Anna: Are you the reinforcements we were waiting for? The undead are coming from the path to the north. We'll take care of any that get past you!

  • Undead?
    Guardian Anna: We haven't seen an undead army like this since... well, ever!
    Guardian Anna: We've been doing our best to hold them off, but we're getting pushed back with each wave. This gate is our last line of defense.
    Guardian Anna: I don't know who you are, but if you're here to help, follow the north path to the front line!

    *After defeating the undead army, you report back to Guardian Anna.*

    Guardian Anna: All is quiet... Did you really destroy that entire army on your own?
    Guardian Anna: I'm impressed! There may be a place for you in the Guardians, stranger.
    Guardian Anna: But where did the undead all come from...?
    Guardian Anna: Ah, don't worry about it. We'll take care of things from here!

    *Elsewhere, Sepulchure is standing on a cliff holding the DoomBlade, overlooking the battlefield; Klaatu appears to report Sepulchure about the defeat of the undead army.*

    Klaatu: Mi'lord, forgive my intrusion....
    Sepulchure: Speak, Necromancer.
    Klaatu: There... there.... there was more resistance than we could have imagined...
    Klaatu: The defenders defeated my entire army of undead! I fear we have been outmatched.
    Sepulchure: ...
    Klaatu: ... Mi'lord?
    Sepulchure: Everything is going according to our Master's plan.

    *A ! appears above Klaatu's head.*

    Sepulchure: You are dismissed.

    *Klaatu leaves.*

    DoomBlade: HAHA! HAHAHA! I SAW THEM! DID YOU SEE THEM? MY KIN, THEY WERE ALL ON THE BATTLEFIELD!
    Sepulchure: Yes.
    DoomBlade: DO YOU THINK THOSE GUARDIANS KNOW WHAT THEY ARE REALLY FOR? DOOOM! DOOOOOOM!
    Sepulchure: Unlikely.
    DoomBlade: HAHAHA! BY THE TIME THEY FIND OUT IT WILL BE TOO LATE. OH, DID YOU SEE THAT ONE.... THE GOOD ONE?
    Sepulchure: You mean that adventurer?
    DoomBlade: YES! KEEP YOUR EYE ON THAT ONE! HARD TO PASS UP TALENT LIKE THAT!
    DoomBlade: OH... I NEARLY FORGOT. MASTER ASKED ME TO TAKE A QUEST.
    Sepulchure: ?
    DoomBlade: YOU NEED TO LEAVE ME.... RIGHT.... HERE!

    *Scene fades to black.*

Undead? Oh... right, villagers have spotted flying eyeballs which seem to be acting as scouts and spys for this advancing army. Trees are uprooting themselves and lumbering towards town! The footsteps of the skeletal forces are posioning the ground causing bubbles of menacing slime to appear! They will reach town soon!"
