These poems were all written for a special person, and although she has not read them all, she has loved the ones she has. I named this Series after the first 1 I wrote, which IMO was one of the best. I hope you all enjoy, and the comments thread is located: HERE.

{I} Why Would You Change
If you had that final chance,
Would you relive the day?
Would you still leave those lives changed?
Would you fix the pain that's wrought?
Would you mend his broken heart,
Or would you leave him to his pain?
Would you change the painful past?
If you could, would you have changed?
And once you changed, what would you do?
Would you leave his happiness,
Only to tear it soon away?
If he was still in love with you,
If you'd give him a second chance,
Maybe then you'd know the truth of what you lost.
If you had changed,
Then he'd be yours.
If your last day arrived,
And if you'd broken the hearts of all,
Would you allow the truth to show?
Or would you hide as if from me?
Once all the mistakes were made,
Would he forgive?
Would he understand the truth you hid,
And why you broke his heart?
Would he believe?
Because I don't understand,
When did it all go wrong?
Why'd you break his heart?
He truly cared,
I hope now you see the truth,
He wasn't like everyone else,
Because he cared.
{II} Truth
I know your truth's been told,
But mine's still hidden deep, deep down.
You need to know the truth,
Need to know I'm here for you.
I still care too much,
Still long for you,
I wish we were together.
But you've made your feelings clear,
And I cannot change the truth.
You trust me once more,
That's all I ask.
I still care and that won't change,
So I must face the truth.
{III} Taken- Original
In the middle of the day,
In front of my very eyes,
As I gazed into her face,
She stole something by and by.
But in the days that've passed since then,
Not one time have I sought it back,
For I knew whether she took or I gave,
It'd be hers forever.
She's taken my heart,
Its hers now and forever,
I'll give her my love,
She among all deserves it.
I really do feel,
That her flawless face,
Her light brown hair,
And the fact that ne'er
Shall you find her
Without a smile across her face
She's had it since I met her ,
I've always known the truth,
Wherefore she knows it, I know naught,
But hope she feels the same.
In the shadows I have hid,
Scared to let her know the truth,
Undeserving of her care,
Now I hope its not too late.
My hopes, My dreams,
Her happiness,
That's all I need,
Her Happiness.
My heart, still hers,
Hers it shall remain,
Where hers is though,
I do not know.
Although she is not yet mine,
I dare, dare to hope, dare to dream,
That someday soon, she will be,
Hope that she will know the truth,
The truth being I love you.
{IV} Taken- Revised

Now that she knows,
I ask myself,
Was it all a big mistake?
My heart, still hers,
Hers it remains.
Where her is,
I suspect but do not know.
Although she will never be mine,
I dare, dare to hope, dare to dream
That she will remain happy,
Hope that we will stay closefriends,
Know this love will never end.
{V} Hidden Truths
The truth cannot be hidden,
For you know me all too well,
Despite our utmost efforts,
The lie would still be there.
All the times you hid from me,
The truth you were afraid to tell,
You helped me find the truth within
That I've hid from you as well.
For in the midst of shadowed doubts,
I must finally face the truth.
I cannot bear to lie to you,
Cannot hide any more.
I wish I knew how to explain,
How to end this lie right here.
But before any of this begins,
I must once more hold you dear.
Must look at you adoringly,
And begin to care once more.
Must long for you when we're apart,
And treasure when we're not.
{VI} Eternal Longing
Have you ever held somebody close,
Scared to let them go?
And even when they're not with you,
Your thoughts remain on them?
Their face invades your mind,
And you cannot mask your desire.
In every waking moment,
All you do is long for them.
Even though it never works,
You still care and that won't change,
No matter what she's said before.
Your feelings will not waver,
She controls your every move.
Your heart is hers, eternally,
But she hasn't seen the truth.
{VII} Missing:
I miss her voice,
Her twinkling eyes,
Her light brown hair,
That beautiful smile.
The way she beams at all she sees,
A frown, her face has never worn.
Eternal joy,
I know it's true,
For you of course,
Have shown me truth.
I miss her beauty,
Miss her care,
Wish all my time,
Was spent with her.
{VIII} The Secret:
That wondrous feeling,
That shining light,
Her background blurs,
My heart beats fast.
Her beauty's here,
My heart's entranced,
Can't pull away,
Can't stop my gaze.
I stare, I stare,
And then she turns.
What to do but hide from fate?
Can't tell her that I care,
That would give the truth away,
But I wish she would see,
That my heart now lies with her,
My ownership forfeit.
{IX}Wishes
I wish...
To hold you close,
My love,
To hold you oh so very near.
To love you,
Know that you do love me too,
And our paths at last, entwined.
Your beauty is beyond my grasp,
But my wishing will not stop.
For I love you,
My heart is yours,
And I hope you feel the same.
I wish you knew,
How long I've loved,
That you knew your worth's unmatched.
I wish you knew,
Your perfection,
And I'm astunded by your care.
I wish if one thing I did know,
It was why you called it off.
Why'd you end our care,
Did your love simply run out?
Or was it something deeper,
A reason I have not seen?
I understand if you did stop.
Just do not hide it from me.

{XI} Love's Nature
Fire. Flame
Two Substances. Collision Boy, Girl. Meet at last.
Wondrous Changes Have Become And begin to learn and laugh
Bringing. Warmth. Joy Filling. His. Heart with joy
Eternal, Undying, Flame She grows happy, Complete at last
Passion, Care, Love
Water Trouble
As the flame begins to cool, Passion ceasing for a while,
Liquid flows and falme is doused, Fights arrive, trouble to cause.
Smoldering embers of before. Stopping love from roaming free,
Slowly ending can it hold? The storm comes once before the calm.
Together. Caring. Love.
Air Wind
Can it bring old ashes back, Fanning this old love once more ,
Erupt again in colors wild? Bring back the care from days before.
Ensures the flame must never end, Holding each other tightly near.
While slowly pushing to its fate. While all the while, you yearn to go.
To die, To end. As all Things Should. Hurt. Pain. Love
Earth Stone
Air blows with all, Trouble again,
Still Earth hangs strong, Yet he holds on,
Finally giving in. While she claims it won't work out.
Ending all at once, We end sadly,
Only to begin again. And he finds someone once more
Earth. Fire. Water. Air. Life. Fate. Love
{XII} Shouts
The whispers have now faded,
Slowly sinking into past,
And with their slow departure,
Something rose to fill the gap.
First it was the gossip,
Speaking bad of everyone.
Next came secrets,
Slowly breaking Dreams of all.
But finally,
The last one rose,
Claimed its spot at last.
The shouts are here, and all they do,
Is cause pain to everyone.
The shouts yell out the obvious truth,
Though I don't see what it is.
If only she'd help me,
And make it all so very clear.
My dear, why do you hide,
Scared the shouts will show me truth?
You've tried to hide them both from me,
Though I know one will soon prevail.
One of them will soon be me,
And I'll fail to be needed.
Or so the shouts have said.
Although the whispers caused more hurt,
I'd rather have them now.
For they were blunt, and to the point,
Not leaving me to fear.
All I need is a few words,
To guarantee my love.
All you'd need to say to me,
Can be said without a doubt.
Of course I still do need you,
They could never match your worth.
We came first, We will be last,
Let the worry finally fall.
{XIII} Then...
First it was us,
Then we ended,
Sad departure from the past.
Then more problems slowly brewed,
And slowly he arrived.
Youbegan to care for him,
I sank slowly out of sight.
It seemed to me quite evident,
That you'd end up to get her.
But know he's found somebody else,
And I know not how you hurt.
Then another friend arrived,
Much as I did long ago.
I know him not but dearly hope,
He'll fill your heart with joy.
Don't wich to see your heart be broken,
Or your friendship fade away.
It will work out, eventually,
All it needs is time.
I must cease to worry,
And hope we'll remain as 'fore.
I dream that they won't interfere,
And we'll all live in the past.
{XIV} Day-to-Day
DAy to day, I found myself,
Dreaming of you and me.
And day to day I told myself,
That it would never be.
And in the end I wondered,
Where has our before now gone?
Because back when I dreamed of you,
We were already one.
And then as if forbidden love,
I was forced to dissappear.
You didn't share this love so deep,
Could not see us as any more.
And upon that fateful day,
One's destiny was writ,
I knew I'd go to ends of Earth,
to find true love again.
But foolish I was then,
And the fool was struck once more,
His pain growing day-to-day,
'til he found the truth at last.
Look no further must he now,
He's seen her light again,
And as I always knew I would,
I fell in love again.
But I knew my second love,
Could in no way match my first,
And that if happiness I wished,
I must return to her.
So the dreams arrived slowly again,
And I saw truth of the truth.
For my second love was nothing more,
Than my first one in diguise.
For love blinded my eyes,
And happy at last I was.
We.
Together.
Now.
{XV} Author's Notes
Why Would You Change?- This is one of my favorite pieces, and also my most recent one. . I hope you all get the message I tried to send, and please tell me what you think.
Truth-This is one of my shorter pieces, but I think the length fits the message. What do you think?
Taken (Original)- This was the first poem I ever wrote, and I feel that this is one of, if not The best of my works.
Taken (Revised)- When I wrote this, I was reminiscing.
Hidden Truths- I love this piece. This is absolutely my favorite. it has the perfect message, and the verses just flow. It truly captured my feelings and I think that this was my biggest success.
Eternal Longing- The most recent piece. Written in about half an hour, and I feel it flows perfectly. It gives the inended message, and I feel it is a success. I also want to point out that the original inspiration for this poem was from Not Steve's "Everywhere", although it evolved into a more hearfelt message.
So here is my collection... I'll update as I write. Let me know what you think.
