NPCs Pros/Cons - Your Thoughts

As many of you know, NPCs will no longer count as wins in omega. and they will be made unlimited.
so i was just thinking of what some pros and cons could be.

Pros:
- wont reflect on record (wins or losses)
- they will be unlimited
- Account Sharing factions who mostly grind NPCs with several accounts can no longer use cafe/private network as an excuse to get away with quick efficient wins from just NPCs
- newbies can now farm NPCs for easy credits to upgrade their gear.

Cons:
- will be exploitable
- will no longer have any purpose on character progression of the game
- wont be a good option to escape balance problems in the game
- wont reflect on record (wins or losses)
- will no longer have PvE aspect of the game that counts towards character progression.
- many NPC grinders will be mad, ragequit, or simply quit the game.

so with this said, there are some pros, and there are some cons. my personal thoughts on it. im 50/50 on it.
i always felt PvE aspect should be there. and for all modes (i suggested team and jugger NPCs for a long time before to make it even for other modes)

while i do know some people dont like NPC grinding and others frown upon NPC grinders, is it fair that your supporting ED when they take away many player's way of playing?

would NPCs matter as much if ratios (i.e wins to loss battle count) weren't in the game?
i personally feel players should have both options. NPCs and Players to battle with.

what do you think about the pros and cons?
do you have any other pros and cons to add?

Essentially it's like survival of the fittest. It'll expose the true PvP players from the NPC grinders. At least now the game will be more competitive.

what im saying is, why cant we have both?

would NPCs even matter if there were ratios?

ratios seem to be the reason why people hate NPC grinders. because they have good ratios.
if ratios weren't here, would u have a problem if players decided to NPC instead of pvp?

Well, actually I'm worried myself about the removal of NPC farming. I rely around half the time on NPCs for XP & creds, although I'm not saying that I don't do PvP anymore. It's just that NPCs are extremely reliable when, say, you want to level up instantly (especially for an impatient guy like me).

Remove losses and we will have a perfect update. The last time the devs actually listened to me was in late beta and that was class change. How did that work out? It helped this game generate an infinite amount of revenues. I'm asking them to trust me once more, removing npc wins will alienate players and cause them to leave, which in turn will raise the cost of items. The devs will have no choice but to charge more because of the lack of customers.

funny the day i started to NPC grind they annaoced it would be removed

well i don t realy mind coze i only grind NPC for cerdits anyway so its good for me

The thing that worries me, is that Cap levels players will probably just battle NPCs to farm for their items/upgrades/skill cores, instead of participating in pvp.

NPCs make credit gain too fast compared to PVP. It should be easy to farm credits from them, but not faster.
Winning in pvp should give a more rewarding amount of credits than an NPC fight.

@above yeah thats what i thought, we should award more in PVP and award less in NPC, because otherwise all of us wouldn't participate in PVP that means we need to wait longer to find a partner for 2v2 or opponents for 1v1 and jugg battles.

How about raising 32 to 40 base Credits ( and EXP from 12 to 15 ) in PvP , then keep their ( NPCs) difficulty the same but rewards up to 50 Credits ( 15 - 20 if defeated ) instead ? NPCs won't give any EXP and BTs , so why should they be lower ?

Perhaps if NPCs simply didn't count to factions or records, but still gave exp. I think that would be better.

what if a random npc battle...i mean when u click the 1v1 button u got like 50% that u will face an NPC..i think its just fine with me...

Assuming npc fights become unlimited, they cannot count towards any record or give experience points. People would never fight in pvp until they are max level and max equips... good luck building a user-base for pvp fights with that!

Chop down the exp. It'd be a waste of time for anyone that can battle. And people that did that would have no battle experience.

I don't like this feature. Some people cannot get a lot of wins without challenging NPCs. I don't see what the problem is when you can only get a maximum of 15 wins (360/ 435 wins a day). Challenging NPCs only takes 15-20 minutes and there there the 40+ minutes to challenge other players in the same Server.

I like DillBage's idea. Reduce the Experience given by the battles.

When it was announced, I went on Twitter and straight away, I came up a reason for removing NPC battle records. Remember the writing from the DNs?

That. That was what I thought. A simple excuse to get rid of the records. "You can challenge NPCs as much as you want to get Credits." Yeah, you challenge NPCs and you only get 32 Credits...
Only true "losers" challenge NPCs every hour and not challenge other people.

I understand what Vypie posted. A lot of the players will most likely challenge NPCs to get Credits. When in the EbilCorp War, there was barely anyone doing PvP. I waited for over 2 minutes once to get into a Battle. As a Bounty Hunter, I can beat NPCs every 45 seconds. Do the math. I once got 80 wins in one hour challenging Heavy Mechachillid (35) during the EbilCorp War.

Beating NPCs was the main reason why I have a lot of wins. I only get 30 wins an hour right now if I didn't challenge NPCs.
