One of my 6 accounts, Eddy Vulture, got ruined.
How? You ask?
I bought energy mecha maul and mecha Launcher. Don't get me wrong, the art is fabulous. The stats and requirements? No. It is actually impossible to make a decent build with those weapons that I bought.
Here are the flaws:
Energy mecha maul- 35 strength req while giving no strength at all. It also has a ridiculously high 40 tech requirement. In order to have a decent build, I will have to hit the 42 Dex requirement of mineral armor. The stats that it gives are suppose to point to an effective support build. No, not even close.
Mecha launcher- A strength req of of 30 while giving both support and strength, and no tech. The plus 39 damage is attractive, until it gets deflected and until it's shown that you can't get much support with it.

Combined with pirate blunderbuss, it's suppose to be a really good, high-hitting support build. that is not the case at all.
Now I'm left with 4000 credits and a horrible build that makes me unable to compete.

This the discussion question:
Should weapons be given bad requirement knowingly that it will lead to a crappy build?
And who is giving out these stats and Reqs?

 You know they do show requirements in the shop before you buy them? :P

I agree that the weapon requirements are...bad.
But if you need a temporary solution, then don't give up. My original char, eloy 2006, was once a level 27 Tech Mage with apprentice staff and less than 1000 credits (due to being a nub during beta and retraining so many times...). That gave me a reason to quit ED for quite some time. Later I came back and made a new char, eloy2006, which is now level 35. Some day I decided I'd revive my original account, so I (now far more "pro" and experienced than before) made eloy 2006 a plasma bolt build, which still lost a lot but had a chance to compete due to being a better player :P Then thanks to the rusted drops, I finally got myself a decent chance to win battles, and now look at him! Level 32 with 53k credits . So don't let this discourage you!

But u dont make a horrible build until you do.

xd the weapons are actually bad enough they make you want to quit.
I haz many other accounts but it just ain't fun playing with weapons that kill creativity.

Edit: Nothing we can do here. It's either play with those weapons (that kill creativity) or ragequit this game. (a third option would be to stay and keep getting pwned, but who would choose that one?)

You must check your available stats and options before buying something, to see if your build is possible or not.
Some math and research to know about how many points you will have and need is sometimes a must. :)

Meh. I usually move the stats around in my head. Had no idea it would turn so bad, I don't use enhances by the way.

A mistake like that is unforgivable. That is probably the biggest mistake a single player can make. You plan before you buy, not buy and then plan. That's why so many players have no varium or good builds, they think of the moment and not the future.

I don't really plan my build before buying things, and I have 50k+ credits for both my mages :P

Maybe if you spend more time playing and less time complaining on the forums, you wouldn't be in this place to begin with.

I have ruined 3 accounts, how? Bad credit managing, bad class changes without good gear, bad gear purchases.

Greed is Kind is the first character of mine that isn't complete trash, because (for the most part) I managed my credits well.

Maybe I could've not bought the silver skull card, but hey, learn from your mistakes.

This game can take a while to get right, but, just take a small break, then try again.

Someone should remind the devs in a perceivable way that bad matches (mostly vs 35 and 34) seriously discourages level 30 players. If they make it to lvl 31 and buy the new weps to find out how bad they really are, it would be almost a guranteed quit.

Eddy sorry to hear that. Tip for other players: Dont put more than one of the new weapons in your gear setup. Think how to balance stats in the best way you can with available resources.
You can still bounce up and this is a perfect time to do that. Random war npcs fights that are a "free" creds and gems drop make it worth the time. Just sell the club and aux - thats 14k creds
so u can instantly buy new aux or club, that leaves 14k to collect. 2-3 days of play, a few hours per day. Just dont care for a few more loses that you gonna score.

It's still good to buy 2 or more of the new weps if your current weps do less than 30 dmg each lol

^If you want to make a good combo, its not.
btw by "new weapons" I meant new credit only war lv 35 primaries, not any weap.

I believe that just discussing money (real-life and varium that is bought with it) is rulebreaking.

Also, retraining just to equip some equipment is redundant and should be resolved.

The "no finance" rule was made to prevent flaming, so a post saying that varium/nonvarium should get more advantages would be against the rules.

I ruined my original beta character with too many retrains. Level 26 merc, only weapon is lamppost. lol. I made my 2 main characters and decided to be more carefull. They are both extremely good level 34 and 31. Who knows, maybe I'll try and fix my original soon. His name is RonStoppable if you want to look it up for a good laugh. :D
