if anyone buys the token equipment, please post a review. The armor feels...meh. I usually use FO armors, so switching to an FD armor is obviously going to mean less damage, but eve considering that, the armor feels weak. Spamming Horror is a good way to inflict panic and burn, but it's still, y'know, burn damage. It's low damage compared to actual attacks. And attacks don't feel all that strong, either. Against the training drakel, Devastation (unbuffed) was only dealing like 500 damage. A standard fire skill used by a fire armor and it barely does anything. Getting the burn to anywhere near 400% takes a lot of spamming and still didn't seem to affect the damage (At all, it seemed. A bug?), but even if it DID deal 5x damage and averaged 2000+ damage against a 100% resist enemy, that requires many turns of trivial damage and lots of SP to eventually get, since Horror itself doesn't deal legitimate damage. Devastation: Standard (Armor element) skill, deals more damage by consuming enemy burn, up to 400%. Requires too much setup for too much cost and not enough damage. A costly nuke that doesn't nuke. Havoc: Above-standard (Armor element) skill. If enemy is panicked, it has a standard SP cost and a chance to heal a little on hit. Doesn't heal much, and damage is comparable to unbuffed Devastation. Horror: Efficient (Armor element) skill. Deals 1 damage per two hits. Attempts to panic/burn monster. If Horror actually DID damage, this might be salvageable as a decent fire armor. Devastation might be bugged since even near max burn, the damage is still unimpressive. It seems to only eat 100% burn, though, despite what the tooltip implies. The armor's Initiative bonus doesn't really matter since it relies on status infliction and won't meaningfully get any use from the turn-1 damage buff. The most you'd get from that is getting to act first with 0LUK. The weapon does NOT inflict passive burns. Click the weapon to spend standard SP and use a 2-hit skill that inflicts an HP and SP Light burn on the enemy for 4 rounds each. The SP burn seems to rooouuuughly average about 40SP per tick. Not a bad weapon. Has some niche utility. The SHIELD, though, is quite interesting. Light shield, blocking attacks makes enemies Panic. More Panic infliction if they are burned. This pairs PHENOMENALLY with Paladin armor (best Light armor in the game). It's Light, so it matches up there, and lets Paladin passively inflict Panic without needing to use the 98SP toggle. Want to super-panic an enemy? Toggle Panic attacks and double up on Panic infliction with the shield. Want to Panic AND Burn? No need to use the costly 196SP toggle. Just toggle the 98SP Burn to inflict both. AND the Panic will be stronger thanks to the Burn toggle. Want to absolutely WITHER the enemy? 196SP Panic/Burn toggle WITH the shield. And because of Paladin's lean manipulation, you can use it however you want without being locked to FD. The shield honestly pairs well with a lot of Darkness warrior armors that focus on evasion, like Shadowfall Raiment and True Nemesis' Testament. Evade, proc the Panic, repeat. The Light element of the shield makes fighting Light enemies less risky, and the Panic effect only further helps that along.
