fork and spoon are 1 or 0 and spork is both 01 or 10 in that order im guessing. anyone faster at replacing words with numbers wanna try it out for me?

hoping it would be kinda easy i wont through and deleted all of the sporks and replaced fork with 1 and spoon with 0. that didnt work so i switched fork and spoon still didnt work. did the same thing getting rid of fork and then spoon still nothing so ya not easy we have to use spork with something

I replaced the "fork" with 0 and the "spoon" with 1 for now, and the "spork" i labeled as x since we don't know how to deal with those yet.

Continuing with patterns, I noticed there are 3 distinct patterns of fork/spoon/spork. For the sake of simplicity, I replace fork with 0, spoon with 1, and spork with x. The three patterns in the message are:

A) 0 x 0 0 0 0 x 0 1
B) 0 x 0 0 0 0 0 x 1
C) 0 0 x 0 0 0 0 0 1

With the exception of the very first set of utensils which would make a B pattern if you add a 1 to the beginning of it. If we do that, the resulting code is:

There is a leftover 0 x 0 0 0 0 0 x at the end of the code... but if you add a 1 to the end it becomes a B (hence why it's in parentheses).

Seems like another substitution cipher perhaps? Those seem like very long words, though. Perhaps the C patterns correspond to a comma, not a space.

I've tried another idea, with results that may be interesting. Using Lkeas substitution of "fork" by 0, "spoon" by 1 and "spork" by x and using the x as separation between units, I've noticed that there are just 7 different sets of symbols (8 if you count the initial standalone 0), which I've numbered:

Since there are 7 signs, I wonder if they may represent the vowels and semi-vowels (a, e, i, o, u, w, y) and we have to fill in the consonants in-between them. Maybe we could obtain the consonants with some other of the substitution methods we've got...

I'm kind of stuck at this point. I think I was on the right track getting it down to some sort of substitution cipher, but the words/phrases are too long to figure out. A hint like this old one of Eldron's would be useful at this point [:D]

Might also help if we knew whether there were junk letters in the message we need to remove, and whether it's scrambled or backwards or whatever.

EDIT: Apparently there's a 5-letter code called the "Baconian Cipher" that is very similar to what we have here. Using the Baconian Cipher doesn't help much though.

Seems like another substitution cipher perhaps? Those seem like very long words, though. Perhaps the C patterns correspond to a comma, not a space.

You said the letters (A=abbbb) for the A/B combitantions was chosen ranodmly in your example.
What if we switch A and I.

Since all the three patterns ends with 1, I don't think it has any other use than to separate the patterns (consisting of 0s and xs). Note the (B) pattern at the end, which has no 1 after it (since it's the last pattern).
I don't believe that AB thing using C as separator is right...

Also, are we sure there aren't any trinary systems? Maybe translate it into hex and then put that into letters?

It could be a typo, but ruling that out we may simply have the patterns wrong.
