My thoughts on Warpforce: First off, overall it is a great idea and game, and although we have only had a small taste of it so far, I still think even the little we've had is great. My first complaint: I haven't been around for many betas but this one feels like the smallest and least content full beta yet. Number two: There are items we can't even buy that are out, whole areas that are right there but we just can't explore, why are those there if they serve no purpose? Number three: Some of the backgrounds/graphics, especially during fights, are horrible. A lot of what I'm talking about is graphics that aren't even from Warpforce, they are just re used graphics from AQ. Another example is at the intro cutscene where the ship is first taking off over the lake/open water and the station it is launched from. Number four: The stats. Some stats were incorporated into the gameplay well, like strength, endurance, and dexterity. One such stat was intellect, which was hardly helpful, although it is one of my favorite stats to focus on. The only way it helped is to give you more MP. I'm sure this will become a more prominent stat after the beta release, when it actually has attack spells to work with. This may be a glitch, but charisma was also useless. If charisma works the same as from the original AQ it should make your pets stronger. As far as I could tell, charisma didn't make your pets stronger at all. My last complaint is a big enough one to be mentioned a second time, but in more detail: THERE IS NOT ENOUGH TO DO. THERE IS VERY LIMITED CONTENT!! There are four quests, and two of them can hardly be called quests. The only "quest" that actually felt like a full scale quest was the moon base. There were battles, cutscenes, and a story. The first two quests I mentioned were the sawbot quest, which was just a battle with next to no story and custscene. The other quest that wasn't worthy to be called a quest was the asteroid quest which was basically just a big cutscene with a pretty good story and a poor excuse for a battle. The only other things to do are fight random battles and farm for exp or gold for tronzor or weapons. That being said, even with it's flaws it is still fun, interesting, and definantly leading up to an epic story with gameplay and hopefully graphics that fix the problems in AQ. When the full version is released, nothing will stop me from buying my 5th membership for an AE game. Thank you for this great game AE, and I hope that it develops into the AMAZINGLY EPIC game that we all know it can be!
