CODTim -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (3/6/2010 5:41:09)

Because DEX doesnt give Ranged weapons attack damage, so youll need 200 INT points to have damaging spells

MonsterMike9000 -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (3/6/2010 6:41:52)

Is 200 Dex/luck/End a good idea?

Using spells offensively goes against my play-style, I'd rather save my Energy Points on healing abilities. Is there any other way? Now I see a future hole in my offensive abilities.
If the build I have in mind is a bad idea, I might choose to be a BeastGunner, but then Id still prefer to rely on my gun.

Right now Im following the Pure Gunner build.

Heres what I got so far.

CODTim -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (3/6/2010 7:04:33)

200 Dex/luck/End

it would make battles last longer than they should do, although it would be offensive because of lucky strikes.

MonsterMike9000 -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (3/6/2010 7:17:19)

I dont want my battles to last TOO long. Would it be best if I put my extra 200 to CHA instead? If it wasn't for the 1-turn petswitching, argh! [&:]

CODTim -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (3/6/2010 7:26:08)

personally i think if you want to end battles quickly to train INT. but its completly up to you

EDIT: The build you suggested earlier was good enough, 200 END, giving you extremely high health, LUK giving you lucky strikes and blocking chance, and 200 DEX giving you blocking abilities

It would make you very hard to hit and if you are hitr youll have plenty of health, and lucky strikes would give you alot of damage, but only 10% of the time

Ilø€IMPERIAL€ølI -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (3/6/2010 7:29:46)

I'm back! =)

But, there's something odd... have the monsters been nerfed? They're quite stronger than before..

MonsterMike9000 -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (3/6/2010 7:45:59)

I agree Imperial...Somethings been changed. I dont remember dying this much. Heck I dont remember dying at all until today.

We need a Warpforce recruitment drive! We just dont have the numbers to win this war. :(

EDIT: btw thx for the info Call Of Duty(?) Tim. It looks like Im ganna end up as a Tank Gunner at the end-game. I guess I'll go with that until someone updates the Gunner build thread.

Bu Kek Siansu -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (3/6/2010 7:49:25)

As a Gunner, at lvl 120, I saw my stats as this:

200 Dexterity
200 Luck
+200 extra points.

Im wondering where those extra 200 points should go.

Why would I want 200 Intelligence?

As a Gunner you just get the extra damage from armor and LUK(LUK/2 when a Lucky Strike happens, which is 10% of the time).
You might want to get more damage from other stats. DEX doesn't increase damage, but BTH and dodging ability.
If it's possible max INT for Techs/Skills or CHA for Pets.
quote:

As a Gunner lvl 120:
150 DEX, 50 END, 200 INT/LUK || 150 DEX, 50 END, 200 CHA/LUK ||
100 DEX/END, 200 INT/LUK || 100 DEX/END, 200 CHA/LUK

MonsterMike9000 -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (3/6/2010 7:52:10)

Thx Strangeface.

I guess I might be a Tank or Beast Gunner once I max out Dex/luck. I hope the pets for Warpforce are good. *crosses fingers for a Robot Unicorn with rainbow-colored hair*

EDIT: Strangeface, are you saying having 200 Dex is a bad idea? I thought Id get 200 Dex/Luck and maybe 200 End or Cha to top it off. It looks like you are suggesting 150dex with 50 end.

moneybags -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (3/6/2010 11:09:15)

There is no set way to train your stats-- that's all up to you. If you want to dodge more, or have higher accuracy, go ahead and train your DEX to 200 (it might be a bit expensive, though). If you think that's a bit too much, then train some END if you want more HP, or LUK if you want more damage overall.

Personally, I'd train DEX and another stat of your choice, and not focus only on one stat. As I've said before, training 200 stat points are really expensive, and monsters don't give out that much gold right now.

Seems like you're picking between a Pure Guner or a Beast Gunner.

BeastGunner: Train your DEX and CHA equally, then once you feel they're at a good amount, start training LUK. Eventually, you'll have all three stats maxed. Remember though, you've got to have END trained in there somewhere, but no more than 50 points.

PureGunner: Train your DEX and LUK-- they'll be the source of your success. Then, have END trained to a good amount, maybe, as MS said, at about 100.

MonsterMike9000 -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (3/6/2010 14:30:48)

Right now I know for sure, I will have 200 dex/luck

BUT its that last 200 that Im worried about. Should I dump it all on End? Or Cha? Or split em even? Ive had a bad experience with bad stat management in Battleon...Ugh, all those countless hours finding the untrainer.
Do you guys think 100 Cha is enough? How do the pets go in Battleon?

moneybags -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (3/6/2010 15:44:25)

Well, in WF right now, no pets need 200 CHA, as they're fairly low level (compared to AQ). So, I'd focus on your DEX and LUK first, until, as you said, you max them out. By then, there should be more pets released, and that's when you should start training your CHA.

So basically, focus on your DEX/LUK. Be able to kill the monsters with your guns. Then, when you are ready for another stat, start training CHA.

Another option is to keep all CHA, DEX and LUK equal. That way, you can have stat bonuses for both your weapons and your pets-- the only difference is that the bonus won't be as large (since your stats are more spread out). Its up to you, really. If you'd like to use pets now, at the early stages, take a shot at it. If you would rather use pets later in the game, then focus on DEX/LUK first.

Oh, and by the way, untraining in WF is much easier; you won't have to spend hours to find the untrainer. Just head over to the VR Deck, go to Tronzor, and the click Untrain. :)

CODTim -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (3/6/2010 15:56:06)

^ ive changed build twice already, and it is alot easy to untrain

megakyle777 -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (3/7/2010 2:29:45)

What are some good lvl amour, weapons, and stats for a Striker Character?

Tokijin -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (3/7/2010 2:44:52)

@ megakyle777:

For weapons and armors, I'd take a look at the =WF= Encyclopedia and the WF Map since they list where, and what level a weapon and armor is.

There are many many types of build for a striker, you can be a Pure Striker, Tank Striker, Beast Striker, and many other forms that all depend on different stat builds. Take a look at this Stat Training Guide. here is an example:

quote:

A BeastStriker trains STR, DEX, CHA, with the primary focus usually on STR and CHA.
This build has more spread-out stats that not only focus on damage done from weapons,
but also damage done from pets. This build deals lots of damage per turn, but at a cost.
In order to have high weapon and pet damage, STR, DEX, and CHA must be training at low levels.
This means STR and DEX loses some points that are then added to CHA to make the build effective.
Weapons won't deal damage at the 'Wow' factor due to the sacrifice of LUK put into CHA.
L 5 | 25 INT | | |
L 10 | 25 STR/DEX | | |
L 15 | 25 STR, 50 DEX | | |
L 20 | 50 STR/DEX | | |
L 25 | 50 STR/DEX, 25 CHA | | |
L 30 | 50 STR/DEX/CHA | | |
L 35 | 50 STR/CHA, 75 DEX | | |
L 40 | 50 STR, 75 DEX/CHA | | |
L 45 | 60 STR, 90 DEX, 75 CHA | | |
L 50 | 70 STR, 90 DEX/CHA | | |
L 55 | 75 STR, 100 DEX/CHA | | |
L 60 | 100 STR/DEX/CHA | | |

Good luck![:D]

megakyle777 -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (3/7/2010 3:08:47)

The thing is, I have never been good with the stats and skill about weapons and amours. All that stuff about 79% plus 250 Stat bonus just confuses me. I know, it's stupid of me.

So, what would you reccomend personally for a lvl 5 free player?

Thanks for the stat help.[:D]

MonsterMike9000 -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (3/7/2010 4:29:32)

I personally MegaKyle777, went through all the lists of equipment and picked out the best weapons for each element closest to my level. Right now Id say ANY armor is good since there isnt really much differences between them right now imho. Although I hear that Grasshopper armor is pwnage for Strikers.

For stats/skills, look up the stat training guide. Tokijin's post has a link to it.

As for those %s you keep seeing, they tell you how weak or strong a monster is against a certain element. For example, if a monster has 125% Light. It means Light weapons do more damage to it. BUT if the monster has a percent below 100%, that means that element does LESS damage. For example, a monster has 99% light. That means light weapons do less damage. Same as if the monster had 75%. The higher the percent, the more damage you can do with that element. The lower the percent, the less damage. THIS STUFF ALSO APPLIES TO YOU. So stay safe. :P

PS Moneybags: I think I'll start training CHA once I have Dex/luk to 200. Hopefully it'll make up for my lack of points in endurance. :(

megakyle777 -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (3/7/2010 4:56:03)

Oh, I know about elemental weaknesses and stuff, I just meant about how powerful the amours and weapons are in the encyclopedia. You know, where it says stuff like does 2.571235 Dmg with 237 stats. Thanks for posting that though. I will use the Grasshopper amour then.[:D]

Bu Kek Siansu -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (3/7/2010 6:02:29)

megakyle777: Which stuff did you mean?

megakyle777 -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (3/7/2010 6:19:28)

The encyclopedia entries and how dmg and ability dmg is worked out.

Bu Kek Siansu -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (3/7/2010 6:28:13)

I meant where from did you get the numbers except from Encyclopedia? From which item did you get the numbers?
Did you get the numbers from an armor(which armor, lvl)? Or from a Weapon(which one, lvl)? Or?? I'll take a look on it.

megakyle777 -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (3/7/2010 6:38:22)

Oh. I made up the numbers as an example. But that is what they are like.

But if you could lokk at the Star Ninja amour th\at would be great.[:D]
