The problem with the mech version idea is that it'd have 3 different styles, but then it's default weapons need to be diverse to fit that, or they work like MechaTron with alternating specials...

I would think that, if anything, the default weapons would have to be really generic. That way, the added specials from each version are more apparent.

Glais -> RE: =AK= SC Monthly Rare Mecha Discussion Thread (6/16/2011 6:59:12)

So, like generic but they gain effects based on the mode? That would work, and be simple.

Zanzibaarus -> RE: =AK= SC Monthly Rare Mecha Discussion Thread (6/16/2011 11:26:21)

I would've loved it if they brought up a different version of Transformers for a Mecha, like the Beast Kingdom (I think that's what it's called) version. Basically all of the characters you know and love get mutated and turn into animals instead of vehicles. Optimus Prime becomes Optimus Primal and I don't think Megatron got a name change, I think he had some sort of dragon form though.

mechquestlord -> RE: =AK= SC Monthly Rare Mecha Discussion Thread (6/16/2011 15:17:13)

my idea for defencive butter is that the butter is a mod that gives you this formula...

added defence=player level-half player level+half if the players level ends in an odd number.

therefore a level 40 will get 20 defence from 1 mod and a level 33 will get 17 defence.

warning-equipping 2 of the defencive butter mod will heavily reduce your accuracy!

warning-equipping an arthurian shield with 2 of the defencive butter mod will not give ANY defence at all.

warning-using a pumpkin shoulder and any number of the defencive butter mod will cause the eject pod to become greasy. (AKA auto eject)

warning-the defencive butter mod has a minor chance to heal your opponent and you and cause your defence to go crazy!

the warnings are there to stop OP 80 permadefence.

@Maria
The shoulders need to hit. And they are the ones which drain EP. You can survive if they miss, but then that takes even more time.

I would love to give the shoulders no specials, and force people to wait for the opponent to run out of EP naturally, but then they would be completely useless, any damage-dealing shoulder would be better than them.

What if I made the shoulders do no damage, and gave the head a very low chance for an OHKO if all the defaults were equipped?

Stall until you OHKO them.

Close, those weren't actually Optimus and Megatron, they were future TransFormers who had similar (in Megs' case, ripped off) names. They were advanced enough to take organic forms when they reached the past. He did get a Dragon at the end, it was weird...but cool.

I think an OHKO kinda defeats its defense purpose, most things that want to be OHKO'd, for me at least, require just sitting there and spamming it until it works, regular enemies don't really need it, just impossibles.

Zanzibaarus -> RE: =AK= SC Monthly Rare Mecha Discussion Thread (6/16/2011 18:02:11)

Aww man.

We do need a Ninja Mecha, we don't have anything like that.

stealthwings -> RE: =AK= SC Monthly Rare Mecha Discussion Thread (6/16/2011 18:17:38)

What if the OHKO can only go off when their EP is at very low?

This is if the OHKO is the only way of doing damage.

NaturallyMaria -> RE: =AK= SC Monthly Rare Mecha Discussion Thread (6/16/2011 23:30:07)

What's to stop customizing? Just slapping Myracyrina's Shoulder on this thing would break it.

Zanzibaarus -> RE: =AK= SC Monthly Rare Mecha Discussion Thread (6/16/2011 23:31:54)

Is it not allowed to create a SCMM that cannot equip external weapons?

stealthwings -> RE: =AK= SC Monthly Rare Mecha Discussion Thread (6/17/2011 14:36:31)

That was why I gave the shoulders such good effects, to try and make them harder to customize.

And if the theme is partly EP draining, then changing the weapons to give it higher damage won't do much. If you can drain their EP, you win as long as you are doing any damage.

mechquestlord -> RE: =AK= SC Monthly Rare Mecha Discussion Thread (6/17/2011 15:03:58)

but whats to stop someone slapping a level 209798679828719687651926873254872659875 earth day solar panels onto a lvl 2 shield?

stealthwings -> RE: =AK= SC Monthly Rare Mecha Discussion Thread (6/17/2011 15:39:34)

The level 104899339914359843825563436627436329940 they will encounter.

mechquestlord -> RE: =AK= SC Monthly Rare Mecha Discussion Thread (6/17/2011 16:09:05)

unless they head over to the noob zone (dropship) cause the max scaling there is to LVL 2!

...that and the EDSP would hit 19804719481689487982643274326 DMG...

forumlogin -> RE: =AK= SC Monthly Rare Mecha Discussion Thread (6/17/2011 17:55:54)

@mechquestlord
Luckily it doesn't exist, and at that point there's absolutely no reason they'd ever go to the Dropship, except for the lulz, which doesn't matter at all.

Ya know, I used the Cosmic Talon a few months after its release.
Doesn't seem as bad as it was hyped, IMO.

Glais -> RE: =AK= SC Monthly Rare Mecha Discussion Thread (6/17/2011 18:02:00)

I think I just hated it's face so much I found excuses for it to be bad to justify selling.

Sadly, it was better drawn than the recent mechs so that was somewhat stupid...

keng4896 -> RE: =AK= SC Monthly Rare Mecha Discussion Thread (6/18/2011 2:31:34)

SCMM's usually have rather special theme and look, so what about a SCMM with a mafia look?

Corinthian -> RE: =AK= SC Monthly Rare Mecha Discussion Thread (6/19/2011 13:33:20)

Hey, just a friendly reminder that i suggested the al Capone mech on page 24 just letting you know. Still a tank mech for a 4th of july mech would be awsome

Selutu -> RE: =AK= SC Monthly Rare Mecha Discussion Thread (6/20/2011 10:00:36)

I'll repeat what I said before about a Necromancer Mecha, a Deathknight Mecha or a Demon Mecha. By the way this is the idea for the first 2, please tell me what you think!

Corinthian -> RE: =AK= SC Monthly Rare Mecha Discussion Thread (6/20/2011 19:15:47)

Monthly Mech obviously remeber a few months ago when mechs were themed off of real world things such as the bc and the falcon? just like that see my point now?
?

Zanzibaarus -> RE: =AK= SC Monthly Rare Mecha Discussion Thread (6/20/2011 22:01:39)

Ugh, I hate myself for creating the idea of a Djinn Mecha, the main problem with it is the fact that I have no experience with creating weapons for Mechas and I was a newbie in the Forums when I made it.

Glais -> RE: =AK= SC Monthly Rare Mecha Discussion Thread (6/23/2011 21:28:54)

A Djinn look would be pretty cool....mostly the floating half-a-body thing.

CleverUserName -> RE: =AK= SC Monthly Rare Mecha Discussion Thread (7/1/2011 13:34:36)

So I hate to bring back an old topic, but I just sort of got here, so...Is the Mechatron any good?

Zanzibaarus -> RE: =AK= SC Monthly Rare Mecha Discussion Thread (7/1/2011 13:37:57)

@glaisaurus_x

The Djinn Mechas I suggested were based of the GBA game Golden Sun, I was a technical fanatic of the games when I made the suggestion.

AsayakeSnow -> RE: =AK= SC Monthly Rare Mecha Discussion Thread (7/2/2011 1:26:11)

In my opinion, yes, the mechatron is a good mech. Its weird, but good.
