Top-tier builds weren't able to be copypasted due to requiring specific, often rare, gear and a specific strategy requiring experience with the build

I do remember when the old Beast Reborn was still powerful. It was the best-looking weapon I had seen when I joined in October 2010.

I do remember when Support Mages were actually feasible, and when Mercenaries were actually good. *groan*

I disagree. In mid-beta, with the valentines auxes, almost every lvl cap varium player were using one of these builds
Mage: 100-120hp battle mage build, using frostbane/azrael, imperial acp and a valentines day aux
Bh: Either high str build or frostbane sword build
merc: FC+ Zerk
I don't think there's ever been too much build variety.

I remember Beta. Where everyone was nice and there was only like 1-5 scammers. Wow those were some good times.

Who remembers when nonvarium were having a great chance against varium users? Right now nonvariums have a 30-40% chance to beat a varium user.
Who remembers when nonvarium and variums were having a variety of weapons?

^The best variety of weapons for non var back in the day were:
Maple cleaver
Independence cleaver
carrier zooka
Graphite gun
Hyper talon
Cadens wraith
Mljolner
etc.

If you had these weapons you sure would have a 70-90% chance to win back in the day and their still being used till now [:D]

Back when i was a Non Var around 2009/ early 2010, Hyper Talon and Mjolnir were the best things going for me :P

@Skeletondude: Oh yes, my lifesaver was Graphite Gun back then, I enchance 5 slots and it helped me so much[:)] It was the best energy aux for nonvariums back then.
Caden's Wrath for me, it was a treasure, it helped me beat Hank, Overlord Guard, Caden, and Titan.

Yes I do,

This is just another example of what teriable damage enhacments has done on the game,

But wait did it stop? NO! they had to relase enhacments on all equipmet way to go ruin the game devs! (mind you not the first or last time TLMs did follow soon after....)

od: 100-120hp battle mage was not a top tier build, it was completely shadowed over b y 160hp heal loop, which at the time im talking about, was only used properly by me, as people who tried to copy it lacked the proper gear and timing to use it, and other people used their own builds instead

^All builds have thier weaknesses ( well they used to until TLMs came along).

I belive 160 hp mages were particularly weak agaisnt certain BH builds.

Yes, super-str bh was the biggest weakness of the build, but that was fixed by adding some defence matrix, however energy hunters with high strength were still extremely hard to beat. Luckily, at that point in time almost no hunters used energy weapons (but the ones that did were by far the most dangerous build against high hp mage)

Also, although i used that build extensively, i definitely admit that it was extremely abusive of reroute, and had a very unfair advantage against essentially every other build lol

^True i remember that. ppl with only Founder,azrael/beta staff,bunny zookas,imperial acp had some seriously good looking builds and were working like a charm with high support back then,plus they're were no limits towards these builds so then came agility and focus.Ended everything (sorta)

Focus did sorta, but now robots are limited to one move per 3 turns that is no longer a problem.


AND PEOPLE

You guys need to remeber that Agialty was a result! Of enhacments, with enahcments power builds could still obtain high hp while piling the amount of power they need hence the intro of agialty, agility itslef did nothing wrong it was needed to counteract the stupid that are enahcmnets. Same with diminishing returns notice how it was braught out soon after enhacments were relased on all gear?

COINCEIDENCE I THINK NOT!

Well agility kinda contained High HP builds from being abused but instead created another way of OPed builds to come such as tankers,supporters,High str abuser etc.

lolz ahh beta the age of heal looping morons monsters always hated them cause if u get 2 heal loopers in 2v2 GG well unless u partnered up with another support merc and u are a support merc mehehehe oped multi full power XD. and there was no enhancements ahh the varium non var gap was so much better in beta. oh well enuf of dwelling in the past now lets just look forward hmm wat do i see i see EPIC 5-focus DUEL.
