Current MechQuest Builds and Their Stats

Stats have finally come to MechQuest! It is important to know what all of the stats in MechQuest are, so here are the official descriptions of what each is:

quote:

Accuracy : Increase your chance to hit enemies.
Reflex: Increases your chance to block enemies.
Power: Damage buff
Perception: Reduces Damage taken
Efficiency: Decreases EP demands of weapons.
Luck: Lots and lots of little things...

This guide is for those who wish to find a build that is right for their type of character and mech. It is compiled of a bunch of different types of builds that you can choose from, like custom builds, traditional builds, and some outlandish builds you may have never thought of. Their stats are listed from how you can build them up from each and every level through spread sheets. So, here they are, the current MechQuest builds and their stats:

Basic Builds

  • The Sure Builds

Introduction: Sure builds are comprised of basic builds that will always work, and you will never have to rely on chance to use your tactic successfully. Here are the basic builds that require no chance: :

    • The Sure Offensive Build

Introduction: The Offensive build is the most used build in MechQuest. It is made with you, the player, getting the mecha with the most amount of damage to deal, and building your stats around power. Here are ways to set up your power build:
    • The Sure Defensive Build

Introduction: The Defensive build is made just so that you know you are perfectly safe in battle. You have the best set of defenses, but is a downfall to your damage-dealing. Here are different ways to set up your Defense build:

      • The Common Defender Build: This build maxes it's stats out with just Perception, so that it takes the least amount of damage possible.
      • The Tank Build: This build evens out it's Perception and Efficiency evenly so that it can use

  • The Chance Builds

Introduction: The Chance builds are set up for those who wish to use chance as their main attribute. Chance means that it is always possible for something to happen or not happen, and with these builds, you will try to take advantage of that. Here are ways to set up your chance build:

    • The Chance Offensive Build

Introduction: The Chance Offensive build is a build that is much like the Power/Sure Offensive build, in which it's build is based on having more and more damage to deal, but only has a chance of any of the attacks to have an extra amount of damage. Here are ways to set up your Chance Offensive:

      • The Critical Offense Build: A build that sets its goals for having much more damage than usual, but with only a chance of that happening. The higher level you are, the better chance you have of dealing a ton of damage.

    • The Chance Defensive Build

Introduction: The Chance Defensive build is a build that is much like the Tank/Sure Defensive build, in which it's build is based on having a thick layer of defense to have less damage dealt on it, but only has a chance of any of the opponent's attacks to not do any damage. Here are ways to set up your Chance Defensive:

      • The Basic Chance Defensive Build:

    • The Lucky Build

Introduction: The Lucky Build is made solely for you to have better chances of having bonus features occur in-battle. Things like a better chance to trigger specials, a better chance to dodge, and a better chance to do critical damage. Here are the Lucky Builds:

      • The All-Out Lucky Build: This build only has its stat points put into the Luck stat, so that you can trigger your special attacks and features much more often than usual. This is great for higher leveled mecha like the [Elite] Forensics Defender, because that mech is based completely off of the fact that you have a good chance to do a special.
      • The Ballanced-Out Lucky Build: This build is made so that you always have a good chance of doing anything that requires chance, be it triggering a special, dodging a hit, and triggering a special attack. You can use this build for an all around goof effect, like a Hybrid build.

Since people are saying Luck increases special chance, and I think I am getting specials more often too, critical power build seems to be the best choice for MystRavens, to take advantage of Deathstrikes.

Sounds like a good idea, I'll probably add this to the set of Custom Builds I'm making.

I'm making a WolfBlade, Mystraven, RuneHawk, and Drakel builds. They'll be just for these type of mecha, because there are many level-types for these mecha.

If you have any other builds, you can suggest them.

Can you put up the Chaddledee build please? 75 efficiency, 30 Power and 35 luck. That is for a wolfblade.

Well, when I say suggest a class, I mean that you suggest one that is kind of official, like the power/defense builds.

I can't really make set up a build that is based on your preference, it has to be something that is, in general, the best possible build for this type of player. Not the best for Chaddledees.

70 Power, and 35 Luck, and 35 Efficiency would be better in my opinion.
I don't like Efficiency that much, but if more EP-stealing mechs come out, then it is good to have.

    A good Mystraven build:
    Power: 75
    Reflex: 50
    Perception: 25

This is a big Project TL! :)

I would like to see also Builds depending on different Mechas.
I think each Mecha needs a different Stat setup for best results.
Maybe all of you can come up with some nice suggestions?

You can always do Print Screen and paste it in Paint and edit it like that.

A different build for every mecha?
That's alot, but I got one for Tyranno.
Max out Power and Efficiency, because if I remember correctly, it does alot of damage but runs out fast.

Hehehe, thanks blues. I'll try to set up a couple builds for different mecha. I'm trying to get to the base builds first, though.

Chaddledee, you'll need to have OpenOffice to use the files that I use, sorry. Though, if anyone has OpenOffice, let me know!

If anyone would like to contribute with more of these spreadsheets, PM me. I'd be very happy if anyone could help.

And the person!, that was something I was just working right now with one of my lower leveled characters, and is going to be a bui;d I'll set up or all of the dinosaur mecha.

but till the AE team refines the stats a bit more, 75 Efficiency is only -3 on the cool down HP cuase 20 is -1 form what i can tell.

the AWB starts with 300EP and at Efficiency of 20 you go down 37EP instead of 38

Acid dragon it also gives u a chance to not lose any ep from using an attack. Or its a glitch. But so far ive done 3 ep-costless attacks.

I have a suggestion: Putting 1 point in efficiency already decreases your energy cost with 1 point. So for just one point that seems like a great deal to me

:EDIT: It's not really a build I know, but might be worth mentioning, and worth including in any build, as it only takes one point.

I've updated the guide with the Common Defender Build and the Tank Build.

Oathbreaker, I've included the Efficiency stat in the Tank Build, because of the exact point you've brought up. It'll also be featured in the Dinosaur Build (for the dinosaur mecha that are available in the Soluna Museum and the Veloci-mecha available in the Nova Shop in Downtown Soluna City).

Oh and Treadlight, respect for taking on this huge task. It's going to be a constantly evolving and expanding guide and will take a lot of time to keep track of.

Was too lazy to find the symbol. I got close enough.

I guess I can help with builds, later. I'm probably gonna focus on how best to use weapons specials, because in MQ, specials are very important.
