Hmmm, this is nice, but...

I feel that is is a good idea to ALWAYS have 1 EFF, PER and POW, no matter what build you are. For a mere 1 point, you get a full 10 points worth of effect (about 10 points, atleast)

If you are have the ARH, the -1EP doesn't give you one turn more to use any of your weapons; rendering it pointless.
The +1POW wouldn't even make it do a full extra damage...pointless.

-1EP could be the difference between winning and losing.

It may not look like much in the whole scheme of things, where you start out with 400 EP and anything can happen..

If you attack 10 times, that's 10 EP that you've saved, and that extra 10 EP could be the 10 EP that gives you enough to take them down at the last second.

And really, for 1 stat point, what do you have to lose? Where else are you going to put it that's going to give you such a huge advantage?

This is NOT the thread to discuss Stats.
Use the official thread for this please!

What would you put it in? I would use the same logic you used.

That 1 extra point in reflex raises your chance to block by whatever percent. That means it's going to block that ONE attack ONE rare time, that you wouldn't block without the point. Which in turn could kill you. Same with perception, one less damage. I've been down to 1 HP all the time, and I've def. died with exactly 0 HP left before. Same with power. That extra one damage, one rare time, could kill your enemy before it kills you. Same with luck. That ONE time, you get to go first, when you wouldn't have gone first without it.

But on the topic of this thread, I think once tread adds standardized house mech builds, he'll entertain more of these custom builds. As this is a guide and not a general discussion, it will probably only focus on specific builds, not players' opinions.

Thank you EVERYONE for posting so many of these builds, but as tempest and blues said, please test your build a bit, then look in the thread if anything similar has already been posted.

At some points in this thread I've seen things go out of topic, and obviously this should not happen. What I do want for you to post is:

  1. Original and extensively thought out builds that have yet to reach this thread.
  2. Suggestions to the guide.
  3. Reporting of the guide being wrong or broken in any way.

By this, you can already tell what not to post in this thread, that should be obvious. Though, there are a couple things I thing should be left with you PMing me, instead f posting it in this thread:

  1. Offering of help for the guide (and its spreadheets).
  2. Appraise or complaints.
  3. Personal suggestions.

You must know that I do read all of your posts all the way through, so I do know that you have or have not posted an addition to this guide.

Thanks all for helping me out with this.

This guide is coming along nicely so far. My only suggestion is that you add the google docs for the Chance Builds, since there aren't any links.

Yes, I'm working on that. It's just that real life is in my way, and you know that always comes first. :]

Right now I am using a build that is really effective with runehawk, it really lets it tank like it is ment to, my 100% reflex build lets me dodge at least 2 hits a battle and usually more!

Yes, untraining is completely. Though, do not ask questions here. Ask all of your MechQuest-related questions in the MechQuest Q&A.

Thank you everyone for helping me out with this guide. I know it seems like I haven't been doing much, but I have been doing real life stuff. I will also be leaving from today until Thursday on a procrastinated vacation that my father set up.

Do not expect me to say much.

Nice Guide

My Build
Efficiency - 25
Luck - 125

Here would be the Stats per Level (Works for SC / Non SC)
Efficiency = Level
Luck = Rest of Stat Point's

It's a Great Build for Mystraven Mecha's and Samari Mecha's

The Basic Offensive Build

Stats:

Efficiency - 1
Power - 60 (70)
Perception - 1
Accuracy - 0
Reflex - 0
Luck - 63 (78)

Numbers in ( ) are SC.

I call this the Basic Offensive build because it is exactly that. The 1 EFF and 1 PER give pretty nice bonuses for only 1 point, and actually does something. The power is for...well, 2-5 points of extra damage. The Luck is for increased Crit rate (a crit is basically 500+ power), and special rates.

It is offensive because of the increased Crit rate and Damage. The EFF and PER points give large boosts, 2 points that won't do anything noticable in the two main skills (Power and Luck)

The Basic Defensive Build

Efficiency - 1
Power - 1
Perception - 55 (65)
Accuracy - 0
Reflex - 68 (83)
Luck - 0

Numbers in ( ) are SC.

This is the opposite of the BO build. It utilizes Reflex as its main stat, for higher Dodge rate. The PER is just there to top things off by reducing damage taken, should you fail to dodge.

The Power is there because it is one point that won't do much in the other stats. Efficiency is there for the same reason.
