@ Trans, the damage reduction is not split, it is only deadly aim skill damage that is split! The effect of deadly aim is split over both targets, rounded up, so if you have +9 deadly aim it will do 5 extra damage to each target and not +9 to both. Also the 85% damage is before defences so if you have say 20-24 strength damage + 35 weapon damage + 9 deadly aim on two targets the damage range will be 51-55 on both targets then the defence reduces that damage. For a character without deadly aim the damage on two targets, at the same strength, before defence reduction is 47-51. So as you can see the 85% modifier reduces deadly aim effect in conjunction with deadly aim being split across both targets. Hope that helps clarify how it works!
