Is 'Voltaic Eel Sinmaw' the best Energy armour?
If so, it would be good to include in the Energy section of this guide.

No Voltaic Eel Sinmaw is not a good armor from the basic context of the guide.
The game has evolved around the guide complicating things.

Sinmaw is of a newer standard than something like High Oracle's Taladosian Robes.
Sinmaw has the status effect lean system which means as FO armor it is taking *1.25 extra dmg.
Along with a -25% shield Sinmaw has the equivalent of : (40-25)*1.25 =18.75 resistance.
While the older Taladosian Robes is only 40-25 =15%

The opposite would be true for a new fully defensive armor:

(40-25)*.85 =12.75

Basically it comes down to:

Old FO =good
New FO = bad
Old FD =bad
New FD =good

edit: That is just a general idea with a set resistance(40%). In actual application there can be a bit difference specifically with defensive armors when you add a misc item.

So Sinmaw might be good in its own right from a dmg taken standpoint it is not. The guide would need to expand if all classification are to be included clearly.

edit: Outside of that I am not sure what Bu Kek Siansu's requirements for additions are as 40% loses to many other options in the guide.

Pixel set for Energy?
Harp could be added to light shields.
W.H.E.E.L could be added to Water/Earth.

Pixel set is on new standards, and it's FO...so just like your previous post about Sinmaw, it's not as good for pure resistance as other armors.

Harp is not as good for pure resistances as other light shields (Arthurian, Ethereal).

W.H.E.E.L. is FO - so again, nix to best resistance - and doesn't have resistances that are lower than other armors for Earth or Water.



Trust me, if there is any player on this game who knows all about the items - especially the new ones showing up under info subs - it is Bu Kek Siansu here. He's the one *making* most of the detailed info subs, after all. When he finds a way to account for the various new game changes, I'm sure he'll be back here updating his own guide as necessary.

So, if you're interested in taking over this guide, feel free to PM James Lu or Ward_Point for asking if you can remake/update it. :)
