What about an achievement which improves with the ammount of missions done by a player.

No. Once upon a time, there was a point in Epicduel where achievements were actual achievements (1vs2, 2vs2, jugg, bosses, world domination etc). Now someone's rating is already dictated by the amount of missions they have done. Last time I checked this was a PVP game, not an aqw rip-off.

^Actually, once upon a time, there were also no such thing as P2W achievements. Yeah, there were a few small cash achievements here and there (none more than 1500ish ratings) and Battle Token Boost, but for the most part, not really, and nothing compared to today. Now there's gifting (which comes every year with a new rare achievement that costs $100 to max and Epic Supporter), 300 inventory, 300 buddy, hairstyles, codes (plus the code daily), arcade, and now the inventory rarity achievements (70% of varium spend on rare weapons goes to rarity score). There's also fact that 90% of all players' Arcade and upgradeable badge achievements come from gifting, and the fame achievements are mostly just for sitting around.

We need more achievements that actually represent dedication to playing the game. Plus, this will give some old timers a slight edge, since there are rare mission chains. It makes me a little sad that Gamma players only have like a 10k rating edge over Delta players, and most Delta players only have about a 20-30k edge over Omega players. An Omega player who cashes a bit can easily make the difference these days.

That said, I support this suggestion.

Are mission chain achievements really "playing the game" though? At it's best this game was highly competitive that players after mid delta couldn't even fathom. This game use to be about hardcore PVP, where you would legit need to grind as a faction with everyone online to win a single daily medal. Simply put this game doesn't have that anymore, and it's not just purely due to the population decline but rather the whole aspect of PVP not being the main focus of this game anymore, and it hasn't been for many years.

Achievements offer no advantage, they inherently cannot be P2W. They offer a cosmetic upgrade for your character and bragging rights, not in-game power.
There seems to be a pretty big disconnect here compared to what the vast majority of the gaming community considers P2W vs cosmetic.

Exclusive cores are actual p2w, and yet people here are concerned about achievements being "p2w", when all they do is change the number and color of stars that show up below your name.

An achievement for the number of missions is exactly the kind of thing I would expect a game like this to do, and in fact I wouldn't be surprised if there were two of them. One that evolves based on the total numer, and accounts for rare quests, and one that you either have or you don't, and is only there when you have every single currently available mission completed. Just like the Quest Point and Quest Cape system in Runescape.
