You might realise that despite your high support or whatever amount of support you have against low level players, they go first. Well actually I don't like it sometimes because in 2v2 if they go first and all players attack him/her before he/she gets his/her turn, that would mean his turn is gone and would go to the opponent's turn. I understand that lower level players need a chance but that also ruins one important thing about support in 2v2. I think that noobs shouldn't go first often in 2v2 ONLY since they'll often be the target and often would die before they get to their second turn.

If noobs don't go first in 2vs2, they won't even have one turn.

@above:

It only works to players who are 4-5 levels lower than you.

Inconceivable!

2v2 was kind of the whole reason behind the lower level going first.

Back when it was completely dependent on Support, the lowest level player would generally go last. They were always targeted first and in most cases the lower level player was killed before his first turn. It might not be fair to the Support stat, but it was desperately needed to make 2v2 remotely possible for level 27-30s.

Besides, support is already an overvalued stat, so the small hit it takes from this still leaves Support builds in a good position -- most of the successful 2v2 builds are still Support builds. And in 1v1 this really isn't an issue. You're usually going to win against a lower level anyways, so going first or second doesn't affect the outcome of the battle.

Earlier today, I was playing 2vs2 with my level 25 mage. I lost 7 games in a row because of bad pairings and terrible first strike sequencing. The last battle was the last straw for me. My partner was level 27 with 40+ support. My opponents were a level 23 with 33+ support and a level 31 with 45+ support. I had the lowest support of everyone at 28+. Even though I had the lowest support and was 6 levels lower than the level 31, he went first and I went last. Need less to say, it was a quick fight. There is something seriously wrong with the 2vs2 first strike sequence. Until it's fixed, I refuse to play in that mode.

What if you were the low level, and you never went first?
Would that give a reason to play the game more and give you a fair chance?
