I think they should be allowed to crit and be rageable, does anyone else think so?
I think EMP should still be unblockable because it costs considerably more energy than atom smasher.

They are fine right now. We should worry about other skills before these. aka Maul Berserker Massacre Reroute

No, I really don't like this idea. EMP is powerful enough as it is, being able to crit EMP would just be far too powerful and Atom Smasher can already take away 50 energy at max level with just slightly above average strength. Also, who is gonna waste their rage on skills that don't do damage?

I agree with Shocka, they are fine the way they are now. Making them "crit and be rageable" would just be inviting more overpowered builds.

By the time you have rage, all their energy would be gone (at least mine would.)

making all similar skills identical ruins the uniqueness of each class.

EMP takes alot but does no dmg, atom smasher can be blocked but scales great with str and assimilation does dmg plus is subject to rage and crits.

all seems fine to me.

It wouldn't make sense for either EMP Grenade or Atom Smasher to be affected by rage. Neither do damage, so they aren't affected by Defense or Resistance. Having them take up rage would actually be a nerf since they wouldn't get any extra damage from the rage.

As for being able to critical hit, I don't think adding chance affects would do anything in balancing these skills. To be honest, the energy drain skills are probably one of the most balanced aspects of each class already. EMP and Atom Smasher are both skills that are used to completely shut out an opponent from using their skills. Unlike Assimilation, they already take away a large chunk of energy that prevents the usage of most (usually all) skills in a battle, so getting a critical hit on either wouldn't really give any huge benefit.

The classes don't need to become identical to be balanced.

Are you mad man they already take a alot of energy and is very cheap skill little energy is used and destroys builds

Ashari, what you are saying is Assimilation does not take enough energy away that prevents the usageof most or all the skills in battle. According to other people it does.Then they say Assimilation does damage that makes the skills equal which you can't just take one aspect and consider things equal.
raise the Amount of energy Assimilation could take and then you can consider it balanced but as long it is set at 10 points energy drain while the other two could take away 40+ at max they are not balanced. Just because one does health damage and the other two does not still does not mean they are balanced. Take away 20 points then you will see more of a balance, the other players will still be able to use at least one of their skills not like when they take away the energy of the mage we are left with no skills to use, not even level 1 bludgeon.

exactly, can take almost all mp, with MAXED OUT atom smasher, and it's still blockable at that, as opposed to bh emp strike, which at lvl 1,2 or 3 can steal almost, if not more mp, and since it enhances with tech 5-focus bhs are near unbeatable because they can waste a turn to steal all ur mp for peanuts of an mp cost for them to use because they can gain the hp they lost for that turn from attacking later with bloodlust, here's an idea, make emp deflectable, that way it's still not blockable, but can stop gratuitous ammounts of mp stealing to leave an opponent to at least be able to use one meager mp attack

Everything is fine the way it is....

We just need more content.
Such as....

Sidearms: There hasn't been a sidearm (gun) promo yet. There has only been swords and auxilliary promos.
Battle Modes: 2 vs 1 boss battle.
Retraining: Didn't the devs promise this a long time ago, but then totally forgot it? We need to raise more commotion for a new retraining mode.

On topic: Emp grenade is fine the way it is because its unblockable. Atom smasher and assimilation is blockable.
Emp grenade usually takes away more ep than the other two in exchange for some ep by the user.
Atom smasher is great at lvl 1, great at lvl 8. It depends on strength, so its fine because it still takes away at least 15-20 ep.
We do not need more nerfs. The devs solved all of this in this update.

The only side effects as of now is that we can't hit records amount of damage anymore.
For example, I can't hit 89 crit gamma energy damage anymore, I can only hit 81 crit.
So all of the damage records are nerfed by many damage.
I think the ED world records should be done over to reflect this, but I ask the devs to keep this in-game balance system the same as of NOW. Because world records can only be broken when new weapons come out, and epically fail when damage gets nerfed.
Thanks if the devs hear about this.

Epic Pwnser, wow a whole 8 point drop that is gigantic, a whole 8 points, what diminishing returns you have!!! , Yes, were are the diminishing returns were is the affect on bot damage so as we could see another update failed again with an exception to see diminishing returns in defense and resistance if you even go 1 point over 55. Then if your defense is below 28 you do not block and more damage is inflicted on you same with resistance if it is below 24 then energy weapons have a great deal of damage on you.

if anything Assimilate should be able to crit for a grand total of 20 Energy removed(thats a lv 1-3 emp)

unless u mean slightly above average strength is 33-40+32 a maxed atom smasher wont take 50 out. i just tried it with 33-40+32 damage and max atom smasher and it did 52.

I love my EMP Grenade on my +5 focus build
Level 8 Takes away 43 energy works well and i think they fine as they are right now.
