So, new promo.
It's a set of stun guns.
And you can only buy it with the $50 package.
Surprised much? You shouldn't be.

I HAD hoped that the promo weapons wouldn't push the power rift further apart, but it has.
First we had Frostbane, which began forcing stat inflation.
BunnyZookas also had a hand in this.
Then we had Azrael's Bane and Celtic Cleaver, BOTH of which had special weapon-exclusive passives.
And now this.
I know we have been asking for guns as promos, but this is taking it a little too far.

A 5% rate that is affected by support (but not by SA),(thanks people, my fail XD) and it is only available through the highest varium package?
I can't understand why you didn't at least make 1% stun guns that are slight weaker, much less why you didn't make it available through in-game vendors (correct me if I'm wrong here).

So what are you thinking, Titan, Nightwraith?
Are you going insane, or what?

They are abusing numbers. They can just add stats however they want and not care about balance and just charge a crapload of money for them. By that I mean over 10 dollars for a single weapon is a total ripoff.

From ED Wiki:
quote:

If the attacker has more support than the defender, the attacker will NOT increase the chance to stun the defender.

So support doesnt affect Stuning chance it only reduces , if some one use the new gun it cant be higher than %5 stun chance and its too low for an ugly stat location gun :/

SA and Support don't affect the chance for the Stun Gun to stun- it's hardcoded at 5%.

I'm sorry if you had anything important to say in your first post, but since I'm on a time crunch, I'll answer the question posted in the thread title.

The answer is YES.

Beta was the best time for promos ever. Why? Because ALL PACKAGES were used to get certain items.

Founder badge: Small package ($20)

Founder badge AND armor: ($35 and above)

Rixty's: All you had to do was buy a rixty card. Rixty's were only $10.

Bunnyzookas: $20 purchase of an Artix Entertainment Game Card

Beta weapons: I don't really remember exactly, but I knew that $35 got you all the weapons.

The issue began with the Gamma promos. A useless oversized bike for $35 and then a bike and OPd bot at $50. I knew how to work the system to get such items without even purchasing the items, but instead, stacking smaller payments. Then, the worst holiday season ever, Halloween, brought out the worst promos ever. Now you had to pay $50 just for two zookas that were similar to the bunnyzookas, except the bunnyzookas were only $20.

Inflation? That's bull...

They could at least have given players the option to choose at least ONE ZOOKA if they bought the $35 package. The overpricing is ridiculous, and they're excuse for their fixed income is really being overdone. If it's really that bad, I'll personally use my graduation money to fly out to florida to talk with their financial advisors. I can play Combat Arms by Nexon, pay $5 and get way more items from that then in EpicDuel.

Don't even try the "it costs to run servers, game, etc." When you have over 100 players buying packages each week. You're getting around $2,000 USD a week. Servers are costly, but they aren't the same price as a house.

Disgruntled Ritiree,
Soliqe

P.S.

$5 get's me 5,000 NX which let's me have the abillity to buy about 6 weapons as each usually cost 700 NX.

The only good thing about new guns it that they aren't OPed like promo items usually are.

I wish there were only like 3 promos per year.

^ Are you sure? Compared to a novarium gun, it has 2 more damage. Double the stats. And a 3 % chance to stun.

Promo items...SUCK. People have been spending way too much money on these epic varium packages just to get two new weapons, and they aren't really worth the money.

Honestly, I don't see the problem here. The sidearms aren't that much greater compared to a future level 33 sidearm and comes free with the top package. If a sidearm level 15 was only made available through purchasing the highest package, would you be as displeased? When you purchase the highest package for 50$, your only really paying for the 10k whilst the sidearms are bonus. what's so bad about purchasing that deal?

What's bad is that people have been spending $50s on these varium packages for months

I'm annoyed as to WHY the promos MUST be the best weapons in game . They're always the highest level ,have the most enhancement slots and most stats . I'd gladly welcome new promos EVERY week ,as long as they are level 30 , though still useful at higher levels . But not the best weapons out there . I mean ,come on ,that's just pure greed.

hi all promo weapons are good but only 5% is too low i prefer guns wih 10% so is more satisfaction and you won't say i waste my money -.-. however i have some advice for a new founder armor, for example:

name of armor: Superior Founder armor

defense or resistance +11 or +12

level to equip only 31

stats all +6 with 10 enchance slots cost about 1800 varium.

for free new armor level 31 for all classes with an armor +8

and more slots enchance
