I can't understand why we can't sell our Delta weapons in order to buy another weapons.
In the past we just could sell any promotional items, so we can get more Credits to buy another stuff.

I made a new character, and it's now at level 29 in 2 days. I used the Experience Booster all the time. :)
The goal was to buy the armor from the LQS, and finally I got the Physical one, I missed the Energy version.
I had to purchase 3x 10k Package, but still don't have enough Credits to buy another weapons.

Almost every level up I had/have to buy new weapons and those Enhancements in order to make a battle/challenge fair.

  • Hopefully the Devs will think about it to make the Delta weapons sellable.
This can help people who like to create new characters.
I mean, someone like me just can buy the 10k Package, then sell the Delta weapons in order to buy another weapons.

As you know, the cost of a weapon is mostly 900 Varium and 12,000+ Credits.
For a 10k Package is only for another one new weapon.

I wish, we can exchange Varium to Credits. So, we also can buy a new stuff from the LQS.
Otherwise, people with a new character like me will almost always miss a new stuff from the LQS.

Do you have a new character like me?
    Any thoughts? Discuss! :D

Also, as of this Friday we will be adding a restriction on sellback for the current promotional items, the Delta Destroyer set. Sellback will be restricted during the promotional period and reactivated once the item is no longer for sale in case you ever need to part with it to free up space. This will help protect players who somehow manage to lose control over their accounts (remember, kids! Keep your passwords safe!) and wake up one day to find their cherished promotional gear sold!

It's not economical. They want to take money from us.

Think about it, you can't get multiples of promos received from the varium packages. So essentially, if you can't sell the delta gear, you are in a way, unable to effectively get the most out of the $50 packages.

And everyoneknows that the 50 dollar packages are much more cost-effective than the other packs. So, bascially, they are restricting us from getting cheap varium and pushing us to give them more money. Big Rip-off I say.

In that case, they should add an option of Varium exchange to Credits.
So, someone like me just can buy a 10k Package in order to get some Credits faster to buy new weapons.
So, we can support more... :)
Otherwise, do I need to give it up? A lot of Varium, but no or very less Credits. No chance to buy new weapons.
    Getting Credits is really hard.

Kids is just the excuse. No reason there couldn't be an advanced feature that allows us to choose to sell promotional items.

Make it selectable and add a screen that says your putting yourself at risk or whatever.

Instead they know the "Wales" of the game industry purchase many 10k varium packs during a phase and could save by selling their delta items before each purchase.

A nice comment and a great idea. Thanks! :)
Hopefully the Devs will think about it.

Well, I think new characters arn't suppose to have much a shot at getting LQS items since they are new and it would be much more deserving to give an old player a LQS item.

@Ed Where does it say that? All players deserve the right to get a LQS item.

^ Yes! All players deserve the right to get a LQS item. Thanks! :)

The new players and new characters also support the Devs.

I mean in amount of wins and time spent. I just hate it when a new person just buys a 10k and they play like they own the game. You should earn your credits, and its suppose to take time.

I agree. I already bought a 10k varium pack for the delta weapons.

Of course they are saying that the weapons are a ''gift'' for buying varium. But they know very well that most players wouldn't buy the pack if it weren't for those weapons. But hey, I am happy I got the weapons I wanted and, I somewhat get my money's worth. I fully enhanced my delta sword and my delta maul.

Now when I will buy my next package, I will keep my sword and maul (because they are fully enhanced). I see no logic into preventing me to sell my delta claws and delta staff. It is even more surreal when I read they are doing this to prevent hacking BUT will make selling available when they go rare and therefore unbuyable forever.. wow

I already have less for my money when I buy varium because of the insane prices of enhancements. Now it is even worst because i won't get nothing with my 10k pack.

    This buisness model doesn't work.

You can put as many disclaimers and tiny prints as you want but in the end, this is a buisness like any other and is subject to american law regarding consumers rights.

@Down DeathSpawn: If the agreement you sign is agaisnt the law, that agreement becomes worthless. Those laws were put in place to protect consumers. Since the buisness headquarter is in the United States, they have to abide to american law. They can't just make up stuff as they go.

it is a bit ridiculous to see a lvl 28-29 with all the latest gear. They already made it too easy for low lvls by implementing no requirements to purchase gear and introducing level range on everything. So no, making it easier then it already is to get stuff would be a slap in the face to the elder players. Yes varium should have it's benefits but at some point enough is enough.

    What enough is enough? :p
    Varium players support the Devs.
Non-Varium players cannot play the game without Varium players because the Devs need money to run the game.
And, Varium players need Non-Varium players to increase the amount of players, and to have fun to each other.
We need each other. We should take care to each other. All players deserve to have fun. :)

it had nothing to do with the fact that with hack or accidentally selling the weapon they just notice a small profit lose when the player sold the weapon and re-buy it again that goes to show how far they would

I support changing the system so you can sell duplicate delta weapons. This would encourage players who buy multiple 50 dollar packs under the same promo period.

They won't allow us to sell our Delta weapons because it gives us way too many credits. The players have everything to lose in this situation, because if we manage to buy another 10K varium package we're not going to get another set of the delta weapons. They learned from their mistake in Gamma where the player would sell the promos and buy another package and get the weapons and do it all over again. Using the kids excuse was low even for this game, why don't they lock all the rare weapons from being sold?

    Greetings to all!

To clarify to those who appear to have mistakenly missed reading what Megachibihunter said, there is a note by Cinderella in EpicDuel's Design Notes [July 27, 2011] that explains this recent change of status for Delta weapons, as quoted below.

    quote:

Also, as of this Friday we will be adding a restriction on sellback for the current promotional items, the Delta Destroyer set. Sellback will be restricted during the promotional period and reactivated once the item is no longer for sale in case you ever need to part with it to free up space. This will help protect players who somehow manage to lose control over their accounts (remember, kids! Keep your passwords safe!) and wake up one day to find their cherished promotional gear sold!

This means that contrary to what some folks think, this change will not be permanent! Everyone will be quite able to vendor their Delta weapons as soon as the promotional event distributing them comes to an end. (Presumably when the Delta phase of EpicDuel concludes).

In response to the commentary from others, this change was not exactly targeted towards only kids - it's for anyone in general as well. If you can somehow manage to get your EpicDuel account hacked, then this change is also intended to protect you. (Unless of course, anyone thinks only kids could be victims of a hacking incident).

Remember, the developers of EpicDuel are constantly trying to invent and implement new updates to enhance everyone's gameplay, as well as their safety in doing so. Sometimes these changes may not draw out happy thoughts from some, but they're always aimed towards the greater good.

However, that obviously doesn't mean they won't heed alternative advice from others - if you think that you've brainstormed an epic idea that would be possible to implement and would probably appease many others, feel free to throw it into EpicDuel Suggestions!

Duel On! (or Battle On! ... ah, I digress; you get the point)
