As many know, the more stats that are attributed to a build, the powerful and more likely to win.

If we eliminated enhancements from this point on, and it will not be entered in the equations below, please use your best judgement on how much difference it should be? Do remember, this is a equal level weapon between the two, and it would be consistent throughout the leveling process from 1 to 33...


How many stat points should a varium primary weapon have?
How many stat points should a non-varium primary weapon have?

How many stat points should a varium Aux have?
How many stat points should a non-varium Aux have?

How many stat points should a varium Sidearm have?
How many stat points should a non-varium Sidearm have?

How many stat points should a varium Armor have?
How many stat points should a non-varium Armor have?


I think personally, if a firm percentage deduction was used between varium items and non-varium items, that stat balance between the two would lessen. Doing it this way, there will be more equal balance from the beginning level to a greater depth into higher levels.

This is just one question of a few, so keep it simple, but also add your reasoning for the difference. I also ask not to add enhancements in this topic, because I request for it not to be added. If added by anyone, I will ask a Moderator to delete your post.

How many stat points should a varium Aux have? 18
How many stat points should a non-varium Aux have? 14

How many stat points should a varium Sidearm have? 18
How many stat points should a non-varium Sidearm have? 12

How many stat points should a varium Armor have? 16
How many stat points should a non-varium Armor have? 12

Concluding if you add the nonvarium they will give you 44 stats in total, and varium will give you 66 I think this way it will be fair, the power gap won't be too high

It is fine the way it is. Varuim users should have far higher stats because they use real money. Also this is not really a discussion.

I think enhancments are fine, they just need to be toned back a bit in price, just drop a zero from the cred and varium side, problem solved

No Arbitrary ranges please.

Make the stat points and armor bonuses standardized. Not Static and arbitrary.

There is a discussion, but your not seeing this as I am presenting the initial post. Things are not fine. If they were, we would have more people playing this game, and no some many complaints about the cost of this game, and the balance. If you don't have anything to add to this topic other saying things are fine, pls don't post.

The discussion is, what everyone feels the difference between non-variums and varium just in regard to items for pvp. I used these questions to see how much advantage a paying player should have within our own personal ideals. It is quite simple, and pls take time to revisit the questions and answer properly if you choose, thank you.

We dont have more people playing this game because of many other reasons not because the gap betweeen Varuim and Non-Varuim users. Do you think it is fair that people who pay 50$ on this game are not far ahead of ones who payed 0$? They should be.

Lets say players who pay must be ahead a "LITTLE" to F2P. Why? Because its too unbalance if the paid players is too dominant in a game with F2P. (Example. AQW, paid players got the COOLEST items but the stats are almost the same with the F2P)

Know what I mean? If you want that paid players will be more stronger than the F2P? Then it shoul be stronger by 2 Stats only. To be balance and not so over power (based on topic)

The enhancement prices are ridiculous. I have 7k varium spent on enhancement. It's ridiculous. and 170 000 credits for 10 enhancemenst!?!?!?!?!? what!? why does the price increase per enhancement? Make each like 75, and 10 will cost 750 varium, and for credits, 7500, for a total of 75 000 credits. Yeah, we'll be killing our varium advantage, but you know what? I really don't care. I have 16 friends who quit of the lack of fairness available in ED. i don't need more, and i have better things to spend my varium on. I want fairness, and if this is what it takes, so be it. We still get our better enhancement slots, and our stronger gear in general. I am pleased, and I find this reasonable.

Standards? Formulas? Price Systems? Anyone making any right now as I publish this post to the public?

Those should be included. I don't think I need to reiterate the need for standardized weapon power. There should at least be some talk about weapon power formulas here and there.

You're not getting anything done without it.

But personally, if this were an ideal world, I would've just made it one power tier for all. Makes things much more easier. But you know, things don't always go your way. :P

My answers are based on if none are rares and all are level 33. (enhancements not included ofc)

How many stat points should a non-varium Sidearm have? 16

How many stat points should a varium Armor have? 15

(Given that the varium armor has more def/res)
The total difference should be 16, or 4 levels above. This is put into consideration before diminishments. The main problem with nonvarium weapons is that none of them are level cap.

I would like to see no stat points if enhancements go so weapons are used for their looks and not for their stats. Plus it would put more of a focus on stats since it would be harder to get them and maybe agility could be removed and then the game would be really simple and easy looking to new players.

well i feel that enhancement should be able to stay but i say that then need to be first off cheaper 20k cred should be all it takes to put the 8 enhancements on a weapon because 20k is a few weeks of work or so for casual games and gives them something to work for without it being to ridiculous and i say that although the stats are ridiculous now i say that when the level cap rises the weapons should get bigger number keep stat enhances the same as they are just mix them up some intead like say +6 dex +6 tech +4 str and +4 support instead of just stacking 2 stat mods on like dex and tech so that this way instead of just taking something away we leave it and let it over time balance out if the stat mods stay similar to what they are now at say lvl 40 they wont be as intense i fully agree with jzaanu with the fact that everything is way to over the top now and we need to lower things but i feel as it should be a gradual change so as to not just change everything over night

The thing that makes the gap between variums and non variums is that it is much easier for a varium to enhance his weps compared to a non varium. This makes the difference in stats far too wide. It isn't unusual to see a varium having more stats than an f2p even though his aux for example isn't equipped. I kind of like enhancements though. It would be better if it was just credit only or that variums can pay a lesser(not considerably) amount of credits than non variums. Only dedicated non variums with a huge amount of credits to spend are able to keep up.

Thats like 16 Stat Advantage, like a +4 LV Difference.

Most non-variums go unenhanced. When I really like the weapon, i'd add 2 or 3 stats on it.
So right now I have like 61, which is about 50 to 47 less than a full varium player. So a varium player is like 12 levels more in stats than a non-varium.
