After the August 3 update, I was cool with all of their changes, EXCEPT the robot nerf. This nerf made me change my build as it became ineffective, really. I was a tactical mercenary with an edge on technology. With the technology I used it to fight with my robot. I will only be able to attack once every 2-3 turns. If your class uses robots mainly, you won't rely on your other weapons (which demand strength, support, and such instances for skills). Since robots are blockable, I can only use the robot once every 2-3 turns with a decently high chance of failure. Especially when robot users sacrifice dexterity often for technology. Opponents with the same or higher dexterity will block it anyways! Taking the versatility away from the robot's arsenal is in my opinion too strenuous on the user to fall back on weaker weapons and limiting the damage potential. We should at least have more than two attacks than what robots have already (primary and special attack). I am using a rare gamma bot. Its a one time only item and its nearly dead to me, waiting patiently for it to move on the offensive if you know what I mean. The equipment slot for robots will be a lesser impact on survivability as it becomes hindered. Do you dislike robots now?

EDIT PLEASE READ

1000 Ways to Nerf

-Stat requirement (requires 46 or higher stats)

-Energy cost

-Damage nerf

-Accuracy nerf

-Attack style change-up (gamma bot primary attack = 1 energy and 1 physical attack, special = support debuff on enemy target)

-Replace technology scale with leveling scale (robot damage increases with character level)

-Cooldown to both attacks

Hot Topic

When we nerf the robots, if the nerf is too grand we will need compensation. This could be making the robot harshly weaker but giving at least the special attack unblockability. What do you think?

u use focus?
i can see why ur complaining

IMO its about dam time they nerfed robot. now lets see the "newbs" shine out in the darkness.

Yes I use focus, its one step into making your robot better in battle.

I'm complaining because my main form of attack is horrendous now. Give me a reason 'noobs' should shine. What kind of noobs and what skills do they use?

they spam robot and have every stat at 45 because they are dumb to make their own builds.
thats why alot of low lvl players use focus while getting into high lvls. that why they are considered "newbs"

theres one thing to have 5 focus, and theres nother thing to have 5 focus and only bot spam.

How many turns can you spam robot attacks in a row before this update, and how many times can you spam it NOW? Also there is the cooldown and the factors affecting technology and dexterity (effects of damage and chance to block).

@GoldSlayer: IMAO so using a strength built doing the same 3-4 move every single fight is much more sophisticated right ?? I am very disapointed at you. Using the word noobs to describe a built that you don't like is extremelly narrow minded and make you sound misinformed. I am waiting for some excuses. -.-

As I sit wheeping with the remains of my beloved GammaBot on my knees, something suddenly came to me . .

My GammaBot as been super rare for less than a month and is now already useless. As a Gamma phase player, I was very happy to finally have something special. Looking at the founder armor, I said to myself 'well I should be good for at least a year with my bot being very powerful'. Boy did I got it wrong.

Well now I am off to a strength built. I was doing all I can not to play one but this is it. I got no more choices now.

What do you guys think ?

I agree everything was fine but now they had to nerf bots. They force us into 5 Focus builds then they nerf it. I am disapointed.
@Goldslayer I understand you may not like 5 Focus build but to call anyone a newb or noob because they use it and they are to "dumb" to use it is just flaming and a totally false assumption.

My gamma bot is on the floor crying and there are no developers to come over and comfort him. Where is the human(epicduel)ity?

A rare from a development phase is now useless to me. Robots are not worth having anymore :(.

I think this will be the best update ever no more Gamma Bot XD , im very curious what will the 5 focus noobs do now *evil laugh*

And dont worry i think gamma bot will have highest enhancement in future

It will be fun. Now the bot will be used Selectively instead of primary. Mages got a small wink in this update, I will definitely enjoy experimenting.

Well, five focus will still be powerful since spreading your stats works better than focusing your stats due to stat progression. As for the end of robots, they are still useful, just not quite as powerful.

Dont afraid just use your brain and think some strategy , i guess the only strategy you have robot-robot-aux-heal-robot-robot-aux-booster-heal ......

We all know all you play is strength built and think you are so sophisticated and intelligent, clicking the same 3 moves every turn. Of course you are happy. Now strength builts are unstoppable.

Congratulation on showing your shelfiness, how narrow minded your really are. Keep being part of the problem. Keep insulting builts just because you don't like them.

I agree it is kinda wrong how it is useless already. Not just Gamma bot but Assualt bot will be useless now to. Its sad how they make people get super rares and act like their so powerful then they nerf them. Just watch as next week they will bring out something even better and then that will soon go useless.

Indeed, focus 5 builds offer variability so a player can have multi-effectiveness in more than one skill. Its just that robots are the mainline form of attack for people like me and now I am neutral (its fine but I'm not expert in anything now). I am ditching robots now :(.

Remember now though, strength builds will be harder to make due to the nerf on percentage skills such as berzerk and double strike.

dbag im sorry if u thought i was insulting the actual pros who use 5 focus (ur probably a pro :D)
when i said "ewb" i wasn't referring to noob. oi was referring to those new fresh players in ED who use 5 focus and get 90% winrate when they hardly have any experience.
theres a difference from 5 focus newb and 5 focus pro.
the 5 focus pro will not use the build to bot spam, but will use it to have more variety in attacks while making that it secondary form of attack.
a newb however will use robot as its primary form of attack and just bot spam for the kill.

What??? i never use copy builds , i changed TLM in the first day than Goldslayer1 (if you want ask him) persuade me that str build work good with TLM then i did my own str build , when no one was useing str TLM i was useing it ;P

Secondly im happy not because my competition is gone , im happy because there will be lots of builds now instead of just str-supp-5 focus . 5 Focus was killing all other builds differenet than str and support but now some caster builds can rise.The problem was whatever you do (different than str and supp build) it was 100% certain that it will be worst than 5 focus and all 5 focusers will win you , now it changed :D

No you got me wrong im not saying noob to 5 focus , im saying most noobs was useing 5 focus and doing robot-robot-aux-heal....and win most ppl (there is good 5 focus players)
Also im happy because 5 focus was blocking all creative builds different than 5 focus -str -supp (am i wrong ) if a player do different build than 5focus its was 100% certain that it will be worst than 5 focus so no one was trying to do builds and simply do 5 focus.
