There are many skills which are underated; some being Venom Strike, Reflex Boost, Shadow Arts, Assimilation, Super Charge, Atom Smasher, Blood Shield, Surgical Strike, Static Charge, etc. The list goes on and it may be due to the fact that players like numbers. By that I mean, if you don't see a high amount of damage inflicted on your opponent, the skill may not be so useful. This is a pattern in the skills I listed above, they are not all high-hitting skills. They all serve different purposes such as stealing mp, regaining mp or hp, boost your defenses/resistance, reduce rage, etc. Take a look at Artillery Strike, Berserker, Massacre, Firebolt, Bunker Buster, etc. They are all considered good because they deal high damage. Which is why at this point in ED, there is no such thing as being solely defensive, you are either offensive or a hybrid.
