^ so yeah lately i noticed good things about juggernauts and bad things

good things are just the fact you are playing in a different battle mode is cool, you feel powerful and unique, you gain good credits but you gain it by an hard work, you face some good challenges, every battle for me, Every single one is a challenge for me since you are fighting two opponents there is always danger...

bad things are sometimes i hate when battles go way to much long, i remember one day i fought 2 lvl 31s.... It took me 20 rounds especially they was tanky players so it was kinda hard and also sometimes you feel that the battle mode isn't really balanced, Some times HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARD battles and some times easy ones(there are no easy battles in juuggs)///

so i hope this battle mode get balanced at all levels and both sides!

I personally love it unless I face 2 mercs with bunkerbuster. They are by far the most annoying thing in a jugg battle. Also why I don't understand people saying they are underpowered. those people must not do jugg battles much. lol

When I get lousy partner's that don't listen to what I say and then they go "srry, was just attacking"

Like: it is a new mode

Dislike: juggernaut fighters (the little guys) find the juggernaut battles biased sometimes and express the mode to others as imbalanced

So it does need work.

I would like to have the opportunity to take a closer look at the Juggernaut mode as I haven't properly been able to yet like I have 1v1 and 2v2. This thread seems to have a lot of potential as far as letting me know exactly what works and doesn't work for the mode.

I'd prefer if I didn't get detailed explanations of HOW to fix it, just WHAT it is that you feel might need work, and also what it is you ENJOY about the mode.

Imo it's encumbarance that kind of messed up Juggernaut...

a Lvl 31 on itself isn't a problem, a lvl 31 with lvl 34 weapons on the otherhand is...

^ Yes, Andy...I was just going to talk about this, i still remember the weapons were able to equip 5 less levels then the original one, and this feature as i can remember it was before juggernauts battle mode so yeah, it's a huge problem, i don't know what is the solution or EVEN if you think it's a Problem...Unless you don't which is going to be hmm! So i hope @rabblefroth take a closer look at this battle mode and make it more enjoyable as much as other battle modes and i actually got upset when you said:

Even you are the newest member they gave you 1vs1 and 2vs2, you are new you should take the newest one...

there is something i dont understand, in jugg you can face with 2-31lvl varium player but you can also face 1 of them at 1vs1, so hows that balanced? If jugg win 2-31 lvl than 34 lvls are too OP and if 31 lvl player can win 34 lvl in 1vs1 (which can happen) is that mean jugg is unfair?

^ Turkish- Haha yes, the battle mode isn't balanced in many ways... I don't blame Mods or Devs i know it's hard trying to balance all classes in 1vs1 and 2vs2 (excluding juggs) i know what they gonna say, since jugg will face low levels there is no problem actually, but when you play juggs for a long time you will realize it's wrong, Yes balances affect this battle mode even without taking consider of high levels (Static Charge) in example... but please stay on topic...

@Hudelf: Basically, encumberane is the problem. you can basicallly face double you's.

some sort of ballancing solution I already suggested twice:(may be used in other modes, but has juggernaut as main target)

Attack and Defence scaling according to opponents levels.

when you attack the opponent, your attack is multiplied by X%, where X is 100%+(oponent 1's level+opponent 2's level)/2
your targets defence/resist is multiplied by Y%, where Y is 100%+(your level +your partners level)/2.

Juggernaut example:

lvl 27+lvl 31 VS lvl 34 Jugg

jugg attacks the level 27 opponent. his attack is amplified 1.29 times. the level 27's defences are buffed by a factor 1.17
then, the level 31 attacks the jugg, his attack is amplified 1.17 times. the juggs defences are buffed by a factor 1.29.

the higher level the opponents are, the less easy they'll get it. but the higher the jugg, the harder HE'll get it.
it should help buffer (NOT buff, buffer) the 'easy win for jugg ' and 'easy win for the lvl 30+ opponents' zone.

To add onto the Juggernaut suggestion, an encumbrance suggestion:

Not only damage, but stats decrease according to the level difference between player and item. Also, the maximum level of aplayer to fight a Juggernaut = Juggernaut's level - 5 (best encumbered item is one level lower than the Juggernaut's)... the minimum level of a player to fight a Juggernaut = Juggernaut's level - 9 (they can equip the items of their partner who is 4 levels above them). The level range is 5 levels. The most extreme example would be a level 34 Juggernaut versing two level 29 players, a balanced example would be a level 34 Juggernaut versing a level 29 and a level 25. I would also increase the rage rate determined by level differences.

I like the game mode because it is fun and challenging, but it is incredibly broken.
How to fix it:
1) For a level 34 the enemies should be 28-30 as opposed to what it is now.
2) If your enemies have more than 12 enhancements total they are exempt of fighting.
3) If they have 2 or more varium weapons with 3 levels lower, higher or at their level they are exempt of getting into a juggernaut fight.
4) The 2 enemies must be of different classes so no double bunker buster which takes half your health away.
5) Jugg gains 3 more defense and resistance
Anyone else?

I find that it's more difficult for the fighters to win against the juggernaut. There's a reason why most juggernauts have a ton of wins in comparison to their losses (I've never seen anyone below a 50% W/L ratio). This by itself shows that the mode is currently imbalanced.

One reason why it's so hard is that the majority of juggernauts are Varium. They're always above level 30, meaning that they currently have access to all of the weapons and armors in the game. As a level 29 player on his twelfth day of playing, I find that it's possible to beat a level 31 juggernaut, but it's near impossible to beat a level 32 or higher juggernaut. Why? Because they've had enough time to enhance everything! Enhancements are key and by this time, they usually have all of the best possible items (or near best - some have Tesla which is slightly weaker in comparison to frost reaper, beast rider, husk).

Another reason why it's difficult to beat a juggernaut is that my teammate is often a non-Varium player, or is saving their credits/varium for better items when they reach level 30 and have access to everything.

On another note, something that annoys me are players who are too cheap to spend any of their credits and have not purchased a single thing. I mean, why save up 70k credits, when it takes you much longer to earn that many credits (because of more losses due to lack of auxiliary or sidearm to kill an opponent at 3 or less health)?

Anyways, juggernaut mode should be scaled... Like a level 31 juggernaut can be up against two level 29's or something like that, so that the fighters actually have a chance.

Well, im from the land of AQW (I know so far apart) And well, coming back after 2-3years of nor playing ED, and playing my first juggy, I didn not too shabby :D Though my partner didnt listen to my epic plan and we lost, I still fail at this game more than I ever did X3

The battles are somewhat fun, and can be unfair (for the 2 players xP) Im still trying to get myself around all this new stuff and whatnot, and so far im failing like I did before xD So many varium priced items x.x

A tip would be to use the EpicDuel Wiki that Ashari helps edit. I think it's a useful tool, since EpicDuel even links their items to that website.
I usually look at that to decide what weapons to purchase. I also use it for other information such as the Stats Progression chart etc.

The biggest problem I have as a Juggernaut is two of the same classes playing together on a team. Encumberance makes it worse. At high levels, stats>weapon damage.

Battles are pretty one sided, either the juggernaut wins with full health at the end or the team players win in a few rounds. It seems like the battles are decided on the match-up.

I do like fighting a juggernaut with a partener and being a juggernaut is fun if you do not have to play super defensively.

There's nothing good about this mode. It was very fun at the beginning when the level range was 23-26 now it's impossible to play without losing every other match.

I agree with Battle Elf, that's the main thing I dislike about Juggernaut now. I imagine a tank CH juggernaut with EMP would be almost unstoppable though.

What I think they should do is:

Remove juggernaught from 2v2 and make a new 2vJugg button.
BUT:
Make a large reward for the players who beat a juggernaught in 2vjugg like for example 500+ credits.

AND decsrease the level range back down again.

Having a seperate button will means that the players up against a jugg can use specilised builds designed to beat juggs which would give them a better chance of vicotry which means it would be fair that the level range would be lowered.


If demand for Players to fight agianst a jugg drops too much because its no longer from 2v2 fighs then simply increase the reward for beating a jugg until this is not a problem.


This will means overall:
-jugg players would get fairer lower level ranged fights.
-The lower levels get a large reward which they deserve.
-The lower level who wont to do 2v2 dont have to put up with losing constantly agianst juggs.
-Stratgies to beat juggs would rise since its no longer in 2v2 whihc means the juggs would need to use stratgy to think and counter the opponenets etc.
-Allthough the lower levels may lose alot most would be there fore the large credit reward.
-Gives another way for lower levels to earn quick credits if they gett lucky agianst a jugg.

Remorse - I like your idea. It's ridiculous how some Juggernauts can be jerks. One Juggernaut who had a meh 1 v 1 record and 2 v 2 record kept calling me a noob for lasting so long. I pointed out that he in fact was a noob, since his 1 v 1 and 2 v 2 record was much poorer than mine. He then proclaimed that his Juggernaut record was very good. ROFL. Since he's a level 34 Juggernaut going up against a new player (level 29) who's only played for 13 days (as of today) and can't even use his Bionic Battlegear yet, how can he say that? It's sad how some people feel that since they're doing Juggernaut mode, where one player has disconnected (either due to lag or them seeing that it was a Juggernaut, that they're actually good. Hopefully I'll see him in a few weeks or so, at which point I'll have hit level 34. XD Thank goodness, I already have the majority of what I need once I hit level 30. Enhancements here we come :D

In regards to the topic, Juggernaut mode needs to be fixed. Seriously. I've only seen one Juggernaut with less wins than losses. The problem with Juggernaut mode is that it usually consists of level 29 or lower players going up against a level 31+ player. As a level 29 player, I'm fine with going up against a level 31 opponent because I somewhat stand a chance. I'm not fine with going up against anybody higher than that, at which point they have enough extra stat points where they can just add it towards their health and add skill points towards their heal. It gets annoying because all of the lower leveled players waste all of their energy up against a tank build. Then, the juggernaut just heals back to full health and proceeds to crush them.

I think level range need to be short and reward need to be bigger because jugg very hard to win even as varium because opponent very hard beat if crit, deflect, block like plasma or bunker.

maybe they should have a system, so that the challengers are always a minimum of 2 levels appart.

this way, you can never meet 3 2 (typo'd) lvl 30/31s, and the underdog challengers (lower levels) always have a beter partner to back them up.
