i have noticed that our new mod group is very active in-game....i would just like to personally thank them for that ...i have also noticed that quite a few mods are present in the in-game hang-out areas (oz world 7 etc)....i know it is rough on them with all the spamming for f4f and bl add requests, etc... i feel bad for them.....but i do think it is great for the player community to see them in-game and in-person....so this thread is to thank them...and to suggest ways we as a player community could better help them to do their jobs. i'll start.....

let's promise as players to not ask mods for fame or bl adds.....we could let them do that at their own descretion

let's promise not to over do the chat requests for mods while they are in public places....they are trying to serve the whole community at large....keep our personal questions to pm's

hopefully....by giving them somewhat of a break of player spamming in-game.....we can keep them encouraged to join us in game

@soul....the problem is ....if we don't remember this in "all the excitement"....we will risk our mods not visiting us in-game.....remember the old mods tended to "hide-out" due to player spamming.....i just hope that doesn't happen to our new group of mods

hiya gang :) this isn't a congrats thread...but a thread to discuss how we, as players, can help the mods out by our own behavior when we see them in-game...so as to encourage their continued participation in-game

hehe I think nearly all the new mods are great [no idea about Daimyo as he tweets in Portoguese] and still underappreciated.
also I've got a sneaky feeling they are already effecting balance with their suggestions, so ED can't possibly go backwards now.

Yes, the addition of Fay Beee and Jzaanu as mods have really helped out the gameplay.

As Fay Beee has said

"This bee has a stinger now xD"

Nice post Mira.

Yes I agree it is most daunting for our new moderators. Especially since most of them are active in the game.

Can you imagine how hard it is for them with everyone asking them to add them as buddies? How would you like it if you had 800 people on your buddy list and 50 of them all wanted to PM you at the same time??!!

Can you imagine what it would be like if you just wanted to hang with your close friends for a chat but every time you did all the people on your buddy list decided to jump to you?

When would you get any time to just retrain or change your build? When would you get time to battle without everyone trying to PM you?

I know it seems nice to brag to your friends that you have a mod on your buddy list but it is simply not possible for our mods to be on everyone's friend list.

If you see them at Oz, treat them as anyone else you see at Oz (hopefully in a nice way of course ).

Remember they are just people like you and me. They aren't ED super gods that can be everyone's friends, fix every problem or hear everyone all at the same time. Even if they tried their hardest they would never be able to do all of this.

We don't want them to have to hide away for fear they are going to be swamped by a swarm of people every time they log in do we?

The problem with posting about it here is that 90% of players don't bother at all with this forum. So for those that do read this can you try to tell your friends about it too. ;)
