Ok I remember mentioning these in the balance thread but since it is a suggestion I will mention it here as well. Here is an Idea how about lowering the cap number to the backlash effects from the first number from 50 to 35 and make the second number from 85 to 50? While many users may not like the idea, I have looked at many build with state spammers especially the famous or infamous blood mage. If I am reading the did you know tip correctly you can add up to 49 of a stat without feeling the backlash of a stat where the truth is most of these people never even go near the number of 50.

take the blood mage for example.

strength starts at 22 which means you can increase the strength of a blood mage up to 71 without penalty and most never go that high some stay in the high 50's or 60 meaning that they can spam this stat up high, and gain the rest of their stats from enhancements (which are penalty free) and boom you have a strength spamming mage with the only backlash of lower agility (which doesn't help anyone other then tanks)

By lowering the number caps from 50 to 35 it would encourage players to use make more balanced build and sway away from the stat spamming as well as make Agility count for something with other builds besides tank builds. Plus in a way it will help stop the unneeded nerfing of classes beacuse let's face it while some classes needs nerfs the ones that don't get nerfed so much to the point where most build won't work for them.

so tell me what do you think of this idea?

If you were around when strength builds have risen, strength mercenaries were the main issue. Then bounty hunters.

Back then, diminishing returns seemed a good idea, but it has eventually proved it was only a temporary fix, because two facts have happened since then:

- level cap was increased by 2 (or 3),
- more more more stat points and enhancements arrived.

The above two facts have compensated the diminishing returns.

The modifications you suggested would only compensate for a short while.

The main issue with strength is that it is not balanced by support - the other offensive stat in game.

All balance suggestions, and discussions belongs in the balance thread. The Reminders on Posting did mention where to post for balance suggestions.
