I haven't read any posts in this thread besides the first one, but I just want to say that there isn't much point in this discussion, because the "change" (aka most of what Omega is about) is basically finished being developed. I think this new system will be a good thing. Better balance between var and non-var, and more build flexibility and opportunity. quote:

Tell the dev's. Call off Omega. Everything's fine right now. APPARENTLY the classes and skills are all balanced and the varium/nonvarium gap isn't a problem. THAT would explain why 90% of the people in 1v1 are either 5 focus blood mages with infernal android, or high strength, high HP bounty hunters with level 7+ massacre. Clearly all builds, styles, and classes work equally. Glad I'm not alone in thinking this.
