I think this is happening to a lot of people, I am being forced into using strength builds.

If I use anything other than that i lose 75% of my battles.

I know I'm just saying the same thing as a lot of people, but strength builds have gotten worse not better.(But devs and mods u did excellent job on omega)

There should be some restriction on strength builds so that there can be a wider variety of builds.

To be honest even if you did add even more restrictions it wouldn't add variety. It would only cause people to just to the next OP thing and history repeats itself. That is what the masses do sadly since they want to win and they will put winning and using an OP build over diversity and variety.

Next no one is forcing you to use strength builds. You can use any build you want to use. No one is saying you must use this build you choose to use that build because you think it is the only way you can win.

Ok first part true I didn't think that through, that would just make more people complain.
Secondly no one is physically forcing me but its the only build i have been able to win at least 50% of the time. Support doesnt work unless your tm. Tank doesnt work with mercs.

But i suppose i could sacrifice wins for fun and variety the way i wanna play the game.

I agree with this. I myself feel pressured to use a strength build just to get the kind of wins my faction demands, even though I hate how much it leaves up to luck. I want to have battle options, but they're simply not viable. Losing feels bad. Thats why people cant help "abusing" the predominant stat or class.

I do believe that there doesn't always HAVE to be an OP build. We're just not at that point yet. But the presence of an OP build does, de facto, "force" people to use it because losing to an OP build feels awful.

Objection, I am actually a tank support mercenary and i can defeat some str builds, not every str build but a lot, but i still agree that strenght its overpowered

What about classes that can't tank? Right now as a bounty hunter I have no choice but to use high offensive and rely on blocks to stay alive. Reflex boost just isn't worth the skill points and turn it requires to use, and with reflex boost I'm still relying on the luck of blocks because most str mercs use energy weapons.

And support actually works very well with Merc and Tanky strategy too. Also you are right Giras, i dont know about the classes that cant tank, sorry if i sound selfish

Losing to an OP build to me actually doesn't feel bad because of the soul fact that it is just that OP. But in reality no one is 'forced' to play as X build when they want Y build. The only reason why people use these builds is because they think this is the only way they can win and that anything else will result in a loss. It is that fear of losing to an OP build that makes people jump to OP build not that you are being forced to do it. Being forced would be someone holding a knife to your throat or gun to your head threatening your life if you don't do this.
