I can start by saying that I love epicduel.
The only online game that I've played a long time.
Made breaks from it sometimes but always come back.
Has played with different character also give away two beta accounts before and so on.

But now the real life started to shape itself to me.
I do not want to stop playing but I dont have as much time anymore.
So what should I do?

Anyway what I'm wondering right now.
Have you played much but then got a job, girlfriend, etc..
So real life starts to take time from you.
That you do not have time to play epicduel as much.
But still want to play?
So what do you do?
Do you play in a faction or without?
Just run event things misson, etc?
Perhaps active on the forum and so on.

So here it is for me anyway.

Several friends leave the faction or game.
Maybe a month or sometimes give them will be back but in a new faction and so on.
So I feel sad when you still like to play with them.
And I like to play epicduel plus buying packages
So I stay updated.
Likes to play with hardcore players.
As those regular players can not run the same pace as myselfsometimes plus faction does not go forward, etc..

But real life begin to take their effect, getting older
So I decided to create a faction.
For myself and the players who are like myself.
People like love epicduel, buy pro sometimes running events, things, etc..
And of course that can run hardcore playing sometimes.
But of course not all the time. But that one player as a team.
Maybe four days per month on the weekend as Saturdays or Sundays.
Then all do hardcore playing then, .
Will post more details later on faction forums part about the whole thing.
Hope it works only solution that I have haha.

So how are you doing? Then I notice more and more new names come up.
They younger players taking over haha.

Same here bro.
Working as a trainee during weekdays.
Working parttime on thursdays, fridays and saturdays.
Girlfriend coming over on tuesday and sunday.

Before i could play so much, now i can only play max 20 hours a week, particularly sundays.
I only then play hardcore as im always on the lb that day.
For the rest? Nope, like 2-3 hours on monday and wednesdays, nothing more.

Real life holds me back but i love this game.

About factions?
One answer.
Join a semi-casual faction, that go for dailies in weekends. Im now in a faction that only goes for dailies during weekends and theydont mind i dont come on during weekdays, why you ask?
Because im co-founder and everyone is my friend

Join a semi-casual faction,
consider also the first of it. but usually if you take a break says of 1-3 months.
So also they had to kick one.
But anyway did my own fac for that kind of player that myself :)
Retirment Home is open for business
though a bit annoying that you had to add forums thread so far from epicduel community.
Then I think you should get to recruit members i each forum separately.
But I put it there so long, I hope they change it later!

For me it's the girlfriend who wants more time.
So I understand her too. Therefore, we have agreed on.
I player some day. and she gives me when those 24 hours that I need haha.
Then I will not have headaches as often

apparently this is how life works, you just have to move on, but for me its different, unlike average players, i can enjoy ED without playing it, i have fun in making suggestion items and helping the devs if they need help, working part time for ED is my goal, i decide to cling on to the game for as long as possible(now i sound like a blood sucking evil parasite XD).

Yeah everyone has to move on at one point. Currently I'm not playing anything but still try to be active on the forums to keep tabs on how ED is doing.

This story is so true . It hurts , but like others said , moving on is just how it's supposed to be .

Or you could do it my way. Namely, get 5 wins per weekday (a little more on weekends and when there are events/missions to complete) and log out.

I play less ED now and alternate with other games (namely Minecraft).

Ohhh man I remember when I left the game 8 or 9 months ago I made this long dramatic forum post about the many grievances the game made against me. A little embarrassing in retrospect.

Before I could play all I want, and now my family is restricting me from playing on weekdays at all (which miraculously doesn't change the fact that I've managed to stay on the tourney leaderboard). A big fuss is made about school for me, but I feel that I'm wasting my time working more in-depth on homework which already gets high marks. Nonetheless, age has taken its toll on me and I can barely play ED on weekdays, and a mere 2 hours on weekends.

@Exploding Penguin

Trust me, one day you will be thanking youre parents. Focus on real life more than a game, no matter how much you are addicted.

I had the same problem in high school. If my parents hadnt helped me with my video game addiction. Well.. lest just say i woulntt have a comfy bed to sleep on at night.

games helps you relax and relieves stress, but it is very unhealthy for people to get addicted, your life comes first before anything, I'm sure many of the hardcore players put their in-game win/loss ratios and leaderboard status before anything.

I have full trust and faith in my parents, it's more like the education system which I distrust...

I really don't socialize much on the internet by using facebook, twitter, etc... so ED is my social networking site as well, and it's great for relieving stress and having fun. Considering I'm a mathematically-propelled person, I love ED because of the strategy it requires to get good win ratios.

It's true.

I really have no idea how reading Lewis and Clark's journal will help me in life.

I am fine with math and science, love those two, but U.S History? Nu-uh.
I took a long break, and came back. I suggest you do that too.

Cheers y'all.

I took a break too after the bionic battlegear came out. Only came back in time for the ebil war.

After the darned yeti competition (doesn't deserve the title of tournament) I'll probably take a month or longer break from ED and focus on studying and other possibly more constructive things...but for now I'm determined to get in the top 100 .-.

Maybe I'll just take a break and only come on fridays when new updates show up, because that seems like the best time to without me missing out too much on neat stuff like limited shops.
