Hey guys,

After much deliberation, and the help of Trans., I have realized that debuff attacks are too powerful.

Some ideas:

  • Slow scaling on Malf and Smoke
  • Lower base levels of Malf and Smoke
  • Increase energy costs of all debuffs.

    So...what do you think?

    ^ Oh, so just because some people in this game have Azarel's Gear, The rest should be penalized? In fact, it is with the azarel's gear that debuffs work better (read: Suppor/strenght Builds)

    You you could increase the scaling of dex and tech. If you did that the debuffs would get a nerf since the scaling is high.

    I don't think this is a great idea. There are many people who go full tech, like TM and their plasma bolt, TLM and their Surgical strike etc. and if we made debuffs weaker won't it just make more people abuse their stats? especially those mercs who go full support

    the major problem with debuffs is that it's a free strike PLUS debuff. I would take about the strike in the skill, so you only apply the debuff for 3 turns, you don't attack ( if you must attack then 3 damage).
    Ever had the: first turn + crit + debuff ? welcome to most of my battles.

    I found the existing scaling per stat already slow enough. I increased Support by 50 (up from 20 totalling at 70), and Malfunction improved the Technology numbers by less than 10.

    I have to agree though, that the number of base reduction points per skill level have a steep climb. Higher than stat scaling to say anything.
