Make the robot damage scale with level; like mutating weapons. Since different robots have different damage points, the damage scaling should reflect the current damage of the robots - so unlike weapons, all robots will not be equal, but rather at a similar level of power as they are now.

The scaling could also be used to buff robots slightly since they were over-nerfed when focus bonus went from 30 to 20.

This will also make it simpler raise the level cap since the damage will continue scaling as level increases.

EDIT: I always thought the "mutating" bit meant that they get more available damage/stat points as you level up <--- That's what I'm suggesting for the robots; scaleable damage with level.

mutating weapons dont scale with level. they just change class with you.

and no, they werent over-nerfed. they were just too strong. since str and support was nerfed, robot focus had to be nerfed. it is fine now.

Actually, what Darkness said isn't wrong. They don't scale Mutating weapons whatsoever.

This would also start problems especially when the level gap is between -5 and 5+ in 1VS1 (I am only covering 1VS1 because that is the only mode I try to collaborate in).

Fine, they don't need to be buffed. The scaling can keep them at similar levels of power as they are now.

Not really if the difference is only 1 or 2 points of damage

but +5 is too big. if it gave 0.5 per 2 levels it would be fine.

and maybe class specific robots?

I think you misunderstood; she was talking about +-5 level difference (not robot damage damage difference).

ik but you said it increases with level, im saying if you make it +1 per level it sure as hell will be op for high levels.

Agreed. Maybe I should an example to elucidate my point:

The Gamma bot has 17 damage currently. From levels 1 to 35, this damage could be scaled 10-17, so 1 extra damage per 5 levels <--- Anything OP about that? :p

well, it is silly. a bots base damage shud stay the same. that will be a nerf to lower levels using a focus build. bad idea. keep base damage at what it is, and make it increase 1 every 10 levels. this way u can only get 3 bonus damage. and it will waste money(extra cost for extra effect).

Because that's how you feel about it?

I was just using those figures as an example >.>

But this is the actual level gap.

Level 30's are even having to deal with Level 35's.

It's not too big, but I think it's just big.
Personally, I think that there should be a 4 level gap just to give lower levels a small advantage.

sorry

no, because that makes focus at lower levels rubbish. which limits build types. focus builds are popular and u want to destroy it for lower levels?(sorry, if im being a bit harsh)

How does having robot damage scale with level "destroy" focus builds for lower levels?

How can you not see that higher level focus builds would demolish lower level focus builds if you start scaling Robot damage with level?

This is unfair, sorry. Not supported.

If they were to use this idea then they would need to reduce the level gap from 5 to 2.
No thanks.

So 1 or 2 points of robot damage difference will result in destruction? That makes no sense.

Wait wait, 1 or 2 points more?

What's the point!?

This would be a suggestion, not a balance search.
