Welcome back!

Both of those guides are actually quite outdated. AQ Wiki is much more up to date, with suggestions for equipment, meta strategies and farming guides, covering pretty much anything you may wish to know.

Weapons

As a general rule, you'd want to fill these slots with tomes. That way you have as many spell slots as possible to fit in all the guests you need.

As D-Burst covers both fire and darkness, there's no real need for Book of Burns (the fire tome from Moderator Gauntlet). A simple fire Magestave would fill its place to boost the damage of your D-Burst.

Healing Branch is a water tome, with an efficient damage spell and several healing ones.

Winds of Change is a wind tome.

Arctic Athame provides an 18.75% damage boost to your ice spells, with the boost doubled against monsters with Int.

Loremaster's Tome is the only compression tome in the game, with fire, earth and harm spells.

Your Lightning Rod covers energy.

Blackbones is rather underpowered as far as weapons go, but it provides a multiplicative 10% damage boost to your D-Burst.

Armors

Complete the neko subrace quests, and your Sol Neko armors (second no-drop + 3 elemental variants) should pretty much cover all your needs.

Other than that, I can only suggest using a wizard armor or two for your farming and nuking needs.

Shields

UG shield should be slightly better than the guardian one.

Snuggle Hearts is gone for the year, but when Snugglefest comes back, I suggest picking it up for synergy with level 7 and 8 neko abilities. Until then, you have your pick from the Overlord shield, Agony's Blood and Grakma Hide.

Update your Celtic Wheel to the lvl 135 variant. If you're often short on mp, you may want to try out the Kindred shield instead for the chargable qc mp heal.

Fujin has a Dexdrive, increasing the accuracy of both your attacks and those of your pets and guests.

The Cha drive of Pies makes it the best ice option for beast builds.

Golem Guard has a toggle to reduce the damage you take.

The paralysis potence of Umazen Aspis has synergy with the Mutant Egg pet and any other source of paralysis you may employ.

Scarab Shell has a toggle to lower monster MRM, which increases the accuracy of all attacks against it - spell, pet, guest, etc.

Spells

Your D-Burst covers fire and darkness, and the only other element not compressed via tomes is ice, so keep Frigid Fury as well.

All other spell slots should be covered by guest summons to take advantage of 60% extra damage:

- Fire is covered by your misc.

- Gaiden toggles between damage and healing.

- Nezujimbo has a freezing attack, which has great synergy with both D-Burst spell and Frost Effigy pet.

- Doomquake Minions deal 2x damage for 2x upkeep, if you have the tokens.

- Mogsterio and Grimlord both pay hp for 2x damage.

- Memet is the only harm guest in the game, also costs tokens.

- All other elements can be covered by Essence of Carnage, which heals mp based on damage dealt and stores charges to boost your next spell.

Pets

Underwyrmling is the only pet in the game that can harm monster sp.

Aqua Bot is the strongest water pet if you have a UR. Otherwise, pick up the Mutant Egg from Grenwog for paralysis (synergy with the Aspis shield).

All the best wind pets are rare, so Mutant Egg would fit in here as well.

Frost Effigy not only has a chance to Freeze, but also a Freeze potence, giving it great synergy with Nezujimbo.

If you have a spare UR, Fu Dog has a chance to petrify, as well as petrification-type potency, giving it great synergy with the seasonal Sugar Gobbler guest. Alternatively, Morningstar pet can inflict either EleVuln or DefLoss, increasing damage or accuracy of all attacks.

Mutant Egg works best for energy.

There are several nice options for light. Fairy Godmother toggles between light damage, heal and mp heal. Dogzilla's burn has nice synergy with Neko. Lepre-Chan is a cha-based light booster.

Model 294 toggles to inflict EleVuln, which has great synergy with both D-Burst and Grimlord.

If you find yourself with both a free slot and a UR, Tiny Void Pwny deals harm damage.

Miscs

Keep Essence Orb and grab Rejuvenating Necklace to cover resource management.

Grakma Warhorn summons a fire guest that can inflict EleVuln - great synergy with D-Burst.

Shadowfeeder Pendant has a qc skill that grants celerity to you, pet and guest.

Goggernaut Helm gives +10 bth to every attack on the field, including pets and guests, and the bonus isn't /2 for spells as with other miscs.

Frostgale's Remorse gives you stun potency for elements not covered by Umazen Aspis.

Murderator Gauntlet gives both Int and Cha, and also has a noticable chance to control the monster.

Morningstar Helm gives immunity to paralysis.

Hope the info's useful and don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions!
