Hello,

Please help me, I cannot beat paladin advanced gear boss. I got killed at Turn 2...

I was in Frostval Mercenary Garb with Eclipse Shield, but the boss turns out to cast fire magic. If I cannot kill it at Turn 1, then it kills me at Turn 2...

Are there any tricks or methods? I find warrior build pretty weak in current environment.

First of all, I suggest using the Paladin armor - the Unwavering passive makes the monster hit against your light resistance. The shield from Paladin Armaments has a similar gimmick, iirc, so you always take damage against your lowest resistance, whether Ringleader uses darkness or fire.

The easiest way to kill him is to destroy a single skeleton - this removes Freedom from the monster. Then use your Love Potion to paralyze him for the next however many rounds you need.

A less cheesy strat is to use Paladin in FD mode, with Panic toggled on, and cast Resplendent Surge, keeping the monster's damage and accuracy low. Attack the skeleton, kill it when Ringleader starts drawing power from it, then repeat with the second skeleton. Killing them both removes Bone Wall status from Ringleader, lowering his defences and hp, leaving him fairly easy to kill with level 19 and 20 skills.

P.S. It might also help to charge Defiance against the quest's mobs, just in case.

Hi,

Thank you for these suggestions! If I can build up my defence via paladin armour, then the rest of the battle will be easy! (I guess)

Sorry, I still cannot beat it. The shield from paladin shop cannot defend against the best element. The boss is also immune to control, making it impossible to nuke. And I die easily.

Help please!

Not the one from the shop - the one summoned by the armor skill 'Paladin Armaments'. Like the Unwavering passive, it treats all undead attacks as if they hit your Light resist.

The boss looses that immunity when you kill a single skeleton - and never regains it if you keep him stunned until the end of the battle.

Paladin armor has two passives that increase your blocking against undead. Add in the paladin shield' MRM bonus, the Apprentice paladin guest and Blind infliction from Resplendent Surge skill, and your survivability should go way up.

You can also use Mantra of Alignment to go FD, taking *.8 damage from monster attacks and use the lvl 3 toggle to Panic the monster, decreasing their damage.
