Very excited for the summer event to kick off. I’m also happy to see the entropy package has a bow. The addition of a shield is a nice/generous addition, and completes the set- it would be cool if this means we get a FSB.

Great to see rangers getting attention from this quest. Just wondering if there is any plan to change for example, Sacred Kusanagi Sword to allow toggle between auto-hit and not auto-hit just like these new Galeforce/Blazing Argent Point range weapons?

Could the upcoming Entropy Dragon Armor Form feature a Freeze effect on its ice breath skill? The MP ice nuke on Ice Necromancer Cavalry rider and the SP ice nuke on Galin's Frigid Hatred armor already provide high ice damage, whereas there aren't any Freeze skills.

Sure, that's reasonable. Here's one of its three skills:
  • Meteor Strike: Overcharged weapon-like skill (250% baseline), 2 Energy hits. If the monster is Cold, then the skill totals up the BTH and blocking penalties across all Colds and gains that% bonus damage. (So if there's just one Cold for -6 BTH and -6 blocking then it's +12% damage). If the monster isn't Cold, then the skill takes -10% damage.

    That sounds powerful! Energy nukes are always welcome. It sounds similar to the Galin's Frigid Hatred nuke skill. Maybe with the Entropy Dragon, the Ice Breath skill applies a potent Cold status and this Energy nuke detonates it?

    Btw, would it be possible to have a Passive toggle ON/OFF Status Condition for this armor? Those are really rare. Earth Necromancer Cavalry is the only one we have so far, where you can spend SP or MP to "weave in" Status conditions.

    The NPC Krenos boss also has something like this, where he spends a lot of MP passively, paid each turn, to attempt a Paralysis on the player.

    Perhaps the Entropy Dragon armor could have a Passive toggle too, where you can spend SP or MP each turn passively, to attempt a Freeze on the enemy? Would add to the flavor!

    The quest was short and sweet. I think dialogues can be more finely polished to not take up the entire text box and cap it at max of 2-3 lines. I'm super excited to see more Primordials in the future!

    Also, does this mean we can finally get to that revamp of the Devoured Earth Shield with most of the more notable fixes already done? :D

    Dang, that sounds really good! I'm excited to see what else it can do!

    Cutting story content down to 2-3 lines that don't take up much dialogue space would leave no room for any satisfying storytelling. However, Devoured Earth is indeed the priority tweak to look at when Kam next catches a lighter week.

    The shield just needed the turns cut down. But it would be sweeter if the poison side of it healed SP. But I don't think it needs a huge tweak

    The new Entropy Dragon armor is impressive!


    FO Energy Armor, 3 Skills:



    1. Energy weapon-based skill that inflicts a weak Cold Status (-6 BTH, -6 MRM), but compensates for this by dealing Void (yes, actual Void and not Harm) after the enemy reaches -30 BTH, -30 MRM. So if you inflict it 5 times, it's exotic Void damage time.

    2. Energy weapon-based nuke that deals high damage based on the number of Cold the enemy has. Unlike the Galin's Frigid Devourer armor, which consumes the Cold Status to deal mega damage, this one deals increased damage without consuming the Cold Status. So lower damage numbers, but enemy is left with -BTH and -MRM, and you can still do the Void damage.

    3. Berserker mode, with in-built Dodge backlash. You take -BTH, but deal +21% bonus damage and you deal Harm Backlash every time you dodge (which should be easy if the enemy has Cold).



    The shield is okay, gives Energy resistance and simple Cold penalty, I think we already have something like this.



    Overall, very nice armor, with Cold, Void and Harm working simultaneously. An actual Dragon of legend!



    P.S: I just hope the Staff don't nerf it to change it, in the name of balance or something lol!

    Wish we had some more sources of the Cold in the game! I know it's a powerful status so it's not readily accessible, but the only other source I know of aside from The'Galin package is the MP Summon Ryussei guest

    The only flaw with the Entropy Dragon armor is that all of its skills are efficiency-based. 1st skill only costs about 100 SP, the 2nd skill is just over 200 SP (at max level). So the skill SP costs are very low, but damage numbers are also lower. It's a bit like the reworked Akriloth Dragon armor, it used to be a beast but the rework weakened it a lot.

    If they made one of the 2 skills Overcharged, like charging 400 - 600 SP, and buffing the damage to double or even triple of its current numbers, then it would reach the Galin's Frigid levels.

    Right now, the Galin Frigid armor is just on another level. The new Entropy is more versatile, but in terms of sheer power, no contest at all.

    The second skill, meteor strike feels very weak. 30+ Wrath, nut misc, poe and 3 stacks of berserk and only around 4.7k in damage.



    Sidenote: other sources of the cold i.e frigid galin, mark of wrath etc do not stack with the entropy wrath status.

    I agree with the above guy. At least one of the 2 skills need to be heavy hitting, like the Akriloth Dragon armor before it got reworked.

    Right now, on average, the 1st skill costs 111 SP and deals around 300 damage, while second skill costs 230 SP and deals 1000 damage.


    The ideal Solution:

    Make the 1st skill SP heavy, maybe costing 588 SP (Overcharged Melee/Ranged), and increase the damage output accordingly. That would mean the 2nd skill can function as a low cost nuke.

    ^Staff have already said they aren't going to be making Overcharged weapon-type skills that get elecomp to damage, that's part of precisely why akriloth and company were reworked.

    Absolutely fantastic armaments, efficient skill for permanent Cold is a dream and the way the other skills interact with it is incredibly cool.

    Adjustments I'm working on:
    - Ranged weapon now works like Morningstar bows, in that if you're in the Entropy Scourge Form then it gets your armour lean.
    - Ranged weapon changed from 80% bow attack / 20% special attack to 80% bow @ 90% power / 20% bow @ 140% power, so that it more benefits from the above.
    - Armour skills no longer get overridden by the Ranged weapon's special.
    - Meteor Strike upped from 250% to 300%.

    Pretty good changes, I would've liked a regular ranged weapon as well but it not having the graphics for it kinda makes that not really possible on short notice.

    @Ianthe, could the Entropy Dragon's breath attack also get a little buff? Maybe double the SP cost and increase the damage? It would remain an efficient skill but a more powerful one.

    For weapon based skills, SP cost doesn't scale linearly with increased damage. If the *base* SP cost of the skill was doubled (because this is how it would be done), with EleComp applied, the skill cost would be 362 for Melee/Ranged and 460 for Magic. This is hardly "efficient".

    Updated all these plus:
    - "Count up all cold" effects now cap at +100
    - Fixed a bug that would inappropriately unlock Breath Weapon's Void damage
    - Breath Weapon now only inflicts The Cold on monsters with >0 resistance
    - Void damage now properly deals double damage
    - Increased the Empowerment modifier from 1+(50+mod)/140 to 1+(50+mod)/100
    - Clicking on the weapon's top while in Entropy Scourge Form will now directly cast its skill (bc the Transform option does nothing)
