When I play normal battle it was fine , when I play the challenge gauntlet it is also fine. However staff challenge is far beyond not balanced on normal battle, the attack you give is minimal when you fight and there attacks are way too high for damage which is completely unfair and not realistic. I can say this because I can take on challenges such as king werepre or Safaria challenge on max difficultly it can be challenging but manageable. I think when AQ changed the stats and balance of the monster NPC across the lore I think this was overlooked or was not updated. To be specific when Afterflix has been defeated he gets resurrected back with 300+ HP and hits total of 4K + dark element damage which makes no sense, so for a warrior build I am wearing all full dark element armor such as shield etc which results element modifier for dark element down to 15 percent and afterflix can still hit 4K+? If I was wearing other full set of armor which is not dark element such light armor set or anything else then sure I can understand the 4K + damage.

I don't think this is a game balance issue. The Staff can still be defeated. How fast did you defeat Afterlifex? He will deal large amount of damage to you if you defeat him too quickly, he does this after he revives. You must take him down slowly.

And as for DragonUltraMaster, he is quite vunerable to the Unlucky status. Lowering his BTH is key, once inflicted, the fight is doable.

I think around 4 or 5 rounds before I defeated him, what does it deemed as beating him too fast? Just with my logic as warrior build if the element modifier drops lower percentage then you should be receiving less damage. With all of my challenge battles or any type of fights I do all across the lore that mechanic remained the same, unless I missed something. It’s strange I can do boss fight no problem in the void etc and many more extreme challenges then there this one…. I may have missed something I don’t know. I will take on what you said and see how I go, out of all the challenges I done well in this was the only one giving me headache.

4 to 5 rounds? That is too quick, that's why he did so much damage to you.

What I mean is you should deal low damage to him. Instead of attacking him with Light or Ice, attack him with other elements, chip his HP away slowly.

This challenge is (debatably) one of the hardest in the game, so it makes sense you're struggling.

In case it wasn't super clear, AfterlifeX has a mechanic where the fewer turns it takes you to knock him down to 1 HP, the greater his damage after reviving. I can't recall the exact turn count or %damage increase per turn, but if you take ~20 turns to kill him, intentionally playing slow, you'll find he has only a marginal damage increase.

The other bosses also have some unique mechanics, DUM in particular can be very hard to beat head to head, and Carandor has a mechanic that can be almost no hassle at all, but if you're not ready for it can make him feel impossible. If you'd like detailed information on their mechanics, I can give more info, I'm just trying not to spoil it, since there are so few bosses with hidden and difficult mechanics in game.

Ok good to know it is considered the hardest or one of the hardest in the game, this is the only challenge I am having issue with. 20 turns for Afterflix ? Got it I will see how I go! If you can send me the link that would be great just to figure out on how these guys work. Thank you for your help! Grace ^.^

Here is a wiki link that has most of the information you need for the bosses LINK

It's not a perfect resource, it's quite old, and some of the stuff isn't true (I've never seen AfterlifeX inflict disease unless I'm really misremembering, DUM deals more light damage than other elements although the majority is still harm, and I'm pretty sure has a greater than 10% chance of getting celerity) but it's generally a good resource, and should give you enough info on what they do.

For Carandor, I recommend tanking his first turn rather than going for a one shot. Using the sisters of mercy SP spell in the guardian account shop along with a fire misc should leave you pretty set

Good luck
