Hi,
I'm just wondering - why there's no "Battle Monsters" button in DF (like the one in AQ)?

Because this isn't AQ.

Closest thing you'll get is the Daily Quest when you open the Book of Lore, in the bottom left.

It’s also not as useful. Early on people fight the metal elemental, but the game has changed a lot. Now it’s better to test your build against a proper boss later on for the sake of it.

I’ve mostly been using the Book 2 Fire War boss and the Melissa quest in Book 3. Both have skippable cutscenes and end after the fight. But if you’re looking for something different I could probably help with that.
