I am curious i have seen others with avatars that are the faces of actors. I was wondering if i were to post a link to
and image i would like to be my avatar would it be possible for it to be implemented?

Avatars that are sent to seahawk should be AE related,only the peoples who has the ability to change their avatars can change their avatar to what what ever they want as ong as its not too disturbing.

Avatars are now being sent to Seahawk.
The rules are as follows:
1. Avatars MUST be AE related.
2. Avatars have to follow the regular avatar rules. 95 X 95 pixels and no larger than 10K, NO ANIMATIONS. .jpg or .gif only
3. Avatars can NOT simply be a cut out of AE art with nothing done to them. If we want some direct AE art we can easily add it ourself.
4. Please PM avatars to me in bunches of 5 to 10. I might consider uploading less, but I will not upload more.
All avatars must be in the same PM.
5. Do not PM me multiple times to ask when your avatars will be uploaded. I'll do it when I get to it. If I have multiple PMs about the same avatars, they won't be uploaded no matter how good they are.
6. Please PM me your submissions. I don't want to receive emails about this.

Please note that any avatars submitted become the property of Artix Entertainment and as such could be used in advertising or on the web pages.

: ( Sad but unsuprising! Perhaps i need to post a suggestion in suggestion area it seems odd to deny people the ability to have a actors face as there avatar
especially if it is not disturbing! I have seen many who have an avatar that is not AE related like your own and i had hoped to submit a good one for myself.

No need to suggest that.

Artix Entertainment allows only AE-related art in public avatar folders most likely due to copyright-related causes.

But a Forum Staff member should confirm the reason, since I'm not sure I am right.

If i remember correctly copyright infringements only apply if the person using the material gains from its use!
For example makes a profit from it or uses it to promote their game etc. That is what makes it even more confusing.
They are not going to bash down the gate because someone used a face for a simple avatar. ; ) If that is the case
we have several on forum right now. lol

 Public avatars have to be related to AE since this is the AE forum. Your suggestions will probably be rejected as I believe someone (possibly Circe or Seahawk, I'll have to find the post) said there are copyright issues with the publicly available avatar list. It's the same reason that any avatars you submit to the forums become property of AE.

Custom avatars are a privilege and that includes the ability to choose a non-AE related pic if you want.

Edit: Looks like DragonYugi covered it already! I'm a slow typer today.

Custom avatars (the avatars that people with uploading rights have) are not a property of Artix Entertainment. :)
