Well guys I've decided to throw my two cents in on Class Nerfs

Since Early Beta I have been part of the ED forums family (Around Fed 12th to be precise) and I have noticed but one thing whenever a class gets Nerfed its usually by the way of the "UP'ed" class getting beat using there "OP'ed" by the "OP'ed" using its normal build. The fighting between the players goes back and fourth usually though many topics because they are locked for Flaming or in AE's case because it’s a huge topic.

Now I can’t speak on the ways of Alpha all I know is Chaos made the ultimate Supercharge build that if he lived to round four you lost no matter the case. But to counter that the BH's and Mercs would have fast three round builds to kill mages before Supercharge. This is a perfect example of Build and Counter build but in the end all three classes lost Merc lost Iron skin, BH lost Diamond Blades, and Mage got a different version of Supercharge.

As for Early Beta right around the time I joined the Forums was in the height of Merc 2v2 supremacy. Meaning Mercs had no Reqs on Multi and Auxs had just become mainstream so Mercs now had two massive attack and a heal. Now the counter for this was very simple stay in 1v1 where the build was not affective or get a good partner in 2v2 and you could win. Of course on the Forums people complained about how OP'ed the build was so in the end a Req was put on some Merc skills. This dropped 2v2 merc supremacy by a good amount as they moved onto try new builds, but in the Mercs came back to using that build once more and an even higher Req was placed and somewhere along the lines more and more people complained and slowly Mercs multi lost 10% of its Def ignore and more recently it has lost the Defense ignore all together.

Now onto that one build we all hear about, HLTM. It was a formidable build but not impossible to beat the STR spamming BH's we see now are the counter build that was made for HLTM it was simple you just hit them harder then they can heal and it worked to an extent.
If luck came in the STR guys usually ending up losing but that’s the same role luck plays today. But once more EDF had a good 10 topics about HLTM that I was part of and Evolve or Die came into most use during HLTM era because you either Became and HLTM or became an STR build to fight back if you stayed you, you lost.

I could continue on with this rant if I really wanted to but let me jump straight to the point Nerfs are not because something is OP'ed in reality Nerfs are because something is OP'ed to class A who is losing to class B's Build and Class A goes and flames and rants and Class B gets nerfed so before you go "OMG DIS CLS ES SO OP'ed"(if you really talk like that sorry) try something you wouldn’t normally try. And to all of those who use Copy Cat builds then complain that something is OP'ed why did you take the class you are using now if it was not beating you in the first place.

And here I thought rebalancing happens when developers find some aspects of their game out of balance, often done via nerfs, sometimes done via buffs, most-always relying on other people's gathered data, usually augmented by own data.

Really, a nerf is just the dev's way of saying: "Okay, this wasn't what we intended."

yeah but most Nerfs are the result of what we see going on around us People saying its OP'ed there are simple Skill solutions to Skill OP'ed my current Point and Case is EMP is Tier 1 of CH and people complain that Mercs are to powerful with there skills.

Well clearly the Devs gave CH EMP as Tier 1 for a reason and that reason is to A) kill BM skills so you dont get overrun there or B) put TLM behind in there plan forcing them to take a hit to get back on track.

Now as i beleive Big Tuna said OP'ed is 95% with 0 thought so Zooka Bot Bot heal Zooka bot bot for 95% or better that would be an OP'ed build heck for the most part you could Bot that and only have to deal with Captha's
