"New posts" problem

I have a really annoying problem with the forums.

When there are new posts in a thread it's title is getting bolded and and a yellow note thingie appears besides it. And after reading the new post those signs disappear.

Well, in my case they appear fine but just doesn't go away. It used to be-

1) I read the new post.
2) the yellow note besides the thread title and the bold disappear.
3) The forums where the thread is, still has the yellow note besides it even through I read the new post.
4) I have to click "make this forums read" in order to make it disappear.

Today it got even worse because some random threads still have their title bold (even through I read the new post) too. And than the "make this forums read" option solved it too.

It's really getting on my nerves. What should I do?

I don't get your problem..try taking a screenshot of it so i can see what you're dealing with.

Inconceivable!

One way to fix this is to use the "Delete All Forum Cookies" link in your Profile and then relog back into the forums.

From my experience, this is a temporary fix as the problem usually comes back after a week or so, but it's better than nothing.

This crops up for me every now and then. Just use the "Mark this Forum as Read" button until it stops happening. It typically lasts a few days for me, then it stops happening for awhile. Last time it happened was several months ago, and I haven't had any issues since.
