Some people may recognize me from my high hp characters and "Valkyrie" being in all my character names so I'm by no means a varium player.

I understand varium players concern as when I first played roughly 1 or 2 hours into Omega I was disappointed by how weak varium players has become. I've been a non varium here for the longest time and I used to be able to at least go toe to toe with many varium players with the exception of massacre abuseing bounty hunters and even then it wasn't impossible for me to win, just more on the unlikely side lol ! However, unlike most non varium players I had near full credit enhances. With Omega I feel that they should've just decreased the price of credit enhances and left enhances alone. The only advantage I've seen thus far that varium players have is the chairman platinum suit which still UBGiuagb9aig me lmao ! Still even with that I'm finding myself thinking, wow this is kinda easy ( not easy easy ) but a crap ton easier than it was before, like a night and day sorta thing.

This is what I liked and didn't like and would've loved to have seen.

Liked

No stat requirements : Its really annoying trying to find a unique build while being forced to have 40 technology on a weapon simply because they're no better option for weapons at your current level. An example of this being the non varium level 31 ~ 35 weapons stat requirement, 35 Str, 30 everything else, eww !

Being able to redistribute stats : I found myself really loving the flexibility of not having to use certain weapons weaker or not because they fit my build like using the 37 damage Yuletide Terror ( from Edger ) because it was the only high damaging auxiliary didn't have support / technology requirement on it. If I bought it, I was stuck with having to have 47 strength which is bad if I were to change builds in the future.

Being able to use whatever I wanted : I despised wearing the cardboard box / harbringer armors because they made my characters so ugley. I immediately switched them for the newbie armors, at least my mages cause it was so cute !

Cores ( sorta ) the vast majority of cores we have currently just scream tank + robot abuse. If we were to changed our current system ( like weaken damage and restore the original 2 hp per stat ) system, can I see everyone immediately jumping aboard the tank train. I really loved the idea of adding cores to gear but no, I really hate the ones we currently have.

Npcs being unlimited : Great great great idea, this is a blessing for non varium. From personal experience there was nothing more annoying than having to stomach through mass build after mass build just to increase the stats on my gear or save up to change class. I also loved the idea of them not rewarding win counts/exp as I hated this the second I started seeing people with 200 wins 2 losses.

Disliked

Cores : Its a mixed bag for me but I currently find them annoying.

Health rate reduction : If ANYONE knows me in game they'll know I'm goo goo gaa gaa for high health like my 211 hp Bounty, now with how costly health upgrades are its suicide to have any more health than 130. I'm currently running at 155 health blood mage just to see if I could manipulate my build to work with it though, 7 retrains later, still searching *sweats*

Strength even more powerful : I'm surprised nothing was done about strength after complaint after complaint after complaint. And it's much worse ! I was ( not just 1 time ) 2 shoted by Maul + berzerker despite having 47 resistance + 85 hp, that's ridiculous.

Debuffs : You better hope you're a glass cannon like many players have become, cause if you waste even a turn to erase the debuff, it's game over ( especially with that insanely annoying rage usable undodgable meteor strike ) It's similar if you just ignore it, your hp cannot coup with low defense.

Skill unerf in general : There's simply no reason to be strategic.

Tech Mage - Max Sup, Debuff you, and then go to town on you with Plasma + High Auxiliery + Deadly Aim. Don't even try to robot the debuff, wasting a precious turn is fatal.
Blood Mages - They're okay, many I've seen are still using 5 focus.
Mecenary - High Str + Maul + Berzerker ( if you survive ) there comes Double Strike or Meteor Strike.
Tact Merc - I hate them, they're now even more tanky than before easily removing your energy while having 3 hp recovery options with reroute.
Haven't seem many cybers.
Bounty - Str + Smoke + Meteor Strike = good game.

^ from what I've experienced if you're not doing these things then good luck winning.

It will take some time for some of the less battle-hardy varium players to get used a higher difficulty.

Well, I can tell you, I'm having problems. 5-Focus works pretty well, but then I figured out that it works better with more str, and then I ditched the 5-Focus and went to str and massacre. Having high HP (meaning about 100), is a must, and a high heal helps a lot. Most battles I don't massacre, and I heal instead. I've actually found that erasing the debuffs is working better for me than not depending on my opponent.

I'm getting destroyed by mercs with berzerker also when I don't go first. :/
