Since the recent patch, Bloodlust was buffed to provide BM's with a buff considering it was the weakest class.

Now, I'm fine with BM's getting the much needed buff; but BH really did not need it and hence got buffed for no reason.


So here's what I suggest, take bloodlust away from BM. Give them another skill, EXACTLY the same as the CURRENT bloodlust.

And then change Bloodlust to how it was before the patch.



What say guys?

If they could have done that don't you think they would have done so in the past when they made certain changes? Remember when they changed Plasma rain's improving stat to dex because TM was destroying everything with Tech? Well if they could have they would have left Plasma rain alone for blood mage but sadly they couldn't since they shared the same move.

My point being is that if they buff or nerf a move they can't do this with buffing or nerfing another class with this same move otherwise they would have done just that.

This is the reason why it was given to BHs too. They had Massacre changed, Strength was nerfed + Support as well, Tech was changed to match Dex, so overall damage went down. Their skills rely on Strike which is blockable with exception of Stun and Multi (and obviously Massacre). I don't really see much of an issue with BHs and buff to BLs, I cope fairly well since my build is more of a defensive one + I rely on Shields. I would say no to the overall suggestion, don't see a reason. If it'll be, Devs can see it on the Balance Tracker & people will post more feedback. Getting accurate results after a day is kinda hard, unless something is blatantly OP'ed, which it isn't in this case.

The 4% increase isn't that much to notice. If you did 100 damage, then you would've noticed since you would get 27HP back.

The change in skills isn't needed. Its fine the way everything is running with BH and BMs. Why waste time on something that isn't affecting the game play that much? If there was another Skill that replaced BM's Blood Lust, wouldn't some people get confused?

It's fine how it is. I would like to see if Deadly Aim can get a nerf too. I just want it so that +35 gun can only get +9 dmg at max.

I have not actually noticed bounty hunters being any harder to beat. Focus bounty hunters don't really have the damage output to make it a problem.

It's unfortunate when one class could use a buff to a skill, but that skill overlaps with another class that doesn't need the help (Or vice versa in the case of nerfs).

A long term goal is to hopefully split out the overlapping skills to have different effects entirely (we did this with Field Commander and Blood Commander).

We technically *could* make Bloodlust on Bounty Hunters different than the Bloodlust on Blood Mages, but I feel that could be overly confusing and annoying to keep track of.

Rabble that is the main cause of a lot of unbalance as it is having classes sharing moves. If every class had their own set of moves and passives with the only one the same being field medic then you could actually buff and nerf the class without hurting the balance of another class. Until this happens there will never be any true balance.

Isn't it just a change of name?

I think it can be done, so why not?

It wont be done since BH also needed the Buff.

However, mother1 is right about making every class its own skills.
We will never get balance if they have the same skills..
