This isnt really a bug, but I thought I should bring this up and thought this would be the best place.

Now that varium can be used to buy whatever you want in-place of credits, the credit boost can be a hindrance in some cases.

Assuming all wins are against your level or lower(which is the case for level cap players):

The small pack of 25 wins will give you 800 extra credits, or 16 credits per varium spent.
The next pack of 100 wins for 175 varium gets you 3200 credits, or 18 credits per varium spent.

I am not sure of the ratio for items as they seem to differ, here is a small sample of gear I took:

So although in some cases it would be better to use the credit booster to get the gear, there are plenty of cases were it is just straight up better to buy it with varium than to turn your varium into credits through the credit booster. Plus, the credit booster is not instantaneous.

I think either the credit booster numbers need to be rethought.

Just as a note: Prices depend on the rarity of the item as well, so normal item will cost less than that of which is Limited Rare instead. And whilst rarity isn't necessary, since it doesn't affect the gameplay, it's your choice whether you prefer to use Varium or boost with Credits - which is better in some cases, as you've said.

You've only compared weapons though. Cores are scaled a bit differently in terms of price (7000 Credits:495 Varium) which can make Credits much better to use in this case as opposed to Varium. Perhaps similarily with other features that cost Credits - depending if one has Varium to spare or not.

Regarding your comment about Credit Boosts:

I don't know, I find that some people enjoy having extra credits to use... and not everything can be purchased using varium only. Certain gear, hairstyles and items are still credit-only, such as Silver Skull Card, Charfade's Cruiser, Jetbike and Roadhog, and there are many more house items that can only be purchased using credits. Granted, there are not that many items which have a credit-only purchase option, but I would imagine there is more to come in the future.

Some people also enjoy investing in Credit Boosts so that they could compile enough credits to purchase items with credits rather than varium, especially if they don't plan on purchasing another varium package in the near future.

Basically, I think there are still enough uses for Credit Boosts; at this point, I wouldn't exactly call them completely "useless."

I forgot that some stuff is still credit only. There is still some incentive for the credit boost to exist.


Still, I could see some people using the credit boost to save up enough credits to buy some weapon that would have costed them less time and varium if they had just bought it outright for the varium cost. So I am changing my opinion, I think credit boosts should last longer or cost less varium.
