*note*: rage can stay, it's not a luck factor in the game.

But this game is suppose to be strategy, whats the strategy of getting lucky by dealing more damage with a crit, getting deflected or getting blocked numerous times. It's either get rid of it or dial it down a lot so it won't be too common. It's not fair when people with better builds and better stats lose to someone because they just crit at the end when they should be able to survive this blow.

I think that they should fix this, but you can't call it luck all the time. It's just annoying when people with below 10 dexterity block, or below 10 technology deflect.

@above they have a base block and crit chance, it is something around 6%-8%

I have 50% chance to block and 50% chance to not block. If I don't block, is the enemy lucky? If I block, am I lucky? Or does it work as intended? It's not luck. It's called probability. Unless it's flat 0% or 100%, probability will always happen. Just like Bolt dealing 60 damage and you have 26-32 Res - will you deal 28 damage or 34 damage? Or maybe somewhere in between? If they survive with 1 HP and you dealt 30 damage (4 less than the maximum) - is that luck or just probability?

ya, dialing it down is the better option but true, I was playing bounty hunter one time and I removed this guys dex to nothing, I preceded to strike and and kill (since he had 10 hp left) but he blocked, he won the match with a rage aux, I was so mad

I never said that was luck, I refered when you are literally more capable of winning against someone, it's just a matter of 2 deflects, 1 block and 1 crit will make the difference. That is probability and I do agree. I don't mind it happening, I just don't like it happening too often. If you have a reaoson to justify why you blocked (e.g. a lot of dex), a reason to deflect (e.g. a lot of tech) or a reason to crit (a lot of support), that is understandable, it's when the odds are 95% on your favour, your opponent ends up getting lucky with a deflect more then once, which could change the tide a lot sometimes. What makes it worse was that it happens above average than what you could really expect. Many of my losses are because of this

and it is probability like trans said, you just didn't press the button at the right time. happens to everyone

yes I do, I don't mind it happening, but when it happens twice in a row, there has to be something wrong. A lot of juggernaut players will understand this sinc ethey get unlucky more often than others

Yeah, I realise that but one calls it luck and other just thinks it's stats working fine. I had Ninja Reflexes + 116 Dex (about 70 Dex advantage over my enemy in Juggernaut) and every time I blocked - which was quite often - it was called luck, yet I did have a lot of Dex and significant advantage over them (almost max blocking possible).

Base chance to block and deflect is 2%. Not 6-8%. And it depends on the difference between you and the enemy. Cores, on the other hand, make it higher (6% for blocks, 8% for deflections). Base to Crit is 4% + whatever the core gives you. Cores are causing higher base chance to block/deflect/crit and cannot be reduced, hence why they happen more often - it's not the lack of stats due to enhancements. @above only the skill cores made its' % increase, and no i sometimes don't see any blocks/crits/deflections happening in battle.

but a lot of people are, don't you think they may been to something, in delta, crit and blocks weren't really much of a focus, but now in omega, I realized along with a couple hundred people that it happens at unusual times

in delta it didn't occur much because we have enhancements.

Yes, because Cores raise the base % so you cannot reduce it below it. Making it like 6-9% base for respectable effects. That's why it's so high.

If you want to remove luck then you will need to remove 4 core mechanics from the game as well as everything that works with these. and if you do that then as I said before all builds other then max damage output builds with strength being on top will survive and anything else will be worthless.

Diversity will go down the tubes even more and the game would be dull. I am for planning, but removing luck will do more harm then good.

How about halving block rate and making str increase your opponent's block rate.

Prevents STR abusers from trampling the game.
