Whenever a player leaves a 2v2 (due to lag/disconnection/etc) keep a carbon copy of the character in the fight but hand over the controls to his/her partner.

This should solve the problem of people leaving 2v2's and messing up someone's fight.

I like your idea, but this would be hard to implement in game and might have bugs as well.

yeah but it would be way to hard to implement, test and may cause lag (having a cached memory of your partner, if it would be stored on your computer, bad connection wouldn't be your best friend, and if it's stored on the server, it will occupy much space and it would need some maintenance work from time to time to get rid of it).Not that i don't like the ideea, this way people could also test new classes,builds even gear, but i don't think this would be implemented to soon.
