This is known already as it was said several times. However just saying it without a solution in hand or a way to fix this problem isn't productive. How would you suggest fixing this problem?

Saying op isn't going to help. Why not give it/make a solution like Mother1 said?

Rescale Battery Pickup. I mean seriously battery pick up gives even more energy than reroute without u taking anymore damage to get energy and its free.

My suggestion for this is RESCALE BATTERY PICK UP

EDIT: Also, TM already have assimilation which gives them almost unlimited energy.

While these skills are strong TM as a class isn't Overpowered. Just as OP said the caster are super strong because of this. Try any other build besides dex and tech casters and you will see what I am talking about.

I can still use my non caster mage build since it wasn't nerf too badly but regardless it still got nerfed.

Yes, I noticed Caster TM's arent affected much on this update. I hope they balance things quick and not releasing a balance on Friday again. They must fix this ASAP

most "solutions" that have been made, actually lead to more problems.

just look at the passives' "solution" into actives.

Now you have to waste a turn to get the energy you would have got without wasting your turn....

against me it isnt. trust me, i used the most derpiest str hp dex build and i actually BEAT one of the casters you are talking about. funny thing, is that you say this for any class you have a hard time against( no offence intended)

It's because with reroute it was player reliant, and you could choose when to attack and do a certain amount of damage on the mage. Now they get the bonus whenever they please. They can also just spam unblockable and potentially high damage dealing moves with little to no remorse because they get all there energy back for a heal the next turn, which is a huge benefit if they're running defense as most do.

pretty much like the old static charge, without the drawbacks of it being based on damage and it being blocked, and you get to pick who gets the boost.

now im sure many here (in the forums) have said before that the old static was OP....

My personal opinion:

T. Mage's are strong but fine as they are because if it wasn't for Battery, example Merc's would be the strongest by far with their big Energy Steal's (Used wisely we can regain energy back for these scenarios, but if we gain first before opponent steals then we Techs struggle more, so it seems fair). Considering they are casters we need energy in order to hit hard with the skills in the skill tree that require a lot of energy like Supercharge, So its necessary. Reroute which was simultaneously gaining energy every time getting hit whilst doing moves was very criticized & now all non Tech's are complaining about Battery, I guess some of you don't want Tech's to gain energy at all apart from Assimilation but that would under power us even with some energy gain from Generator (we need enough energy for field medic & also to do projectile attack/s).

We ain't completely as strong as you may think.. T. Mage's like myself (super Tank) still struggle with Strength build's like example; Bounty Hunter's with their big Energy pools around 80+ & Massacre skill or other class Strength builds. I think players need to still get used to the changes & think strategic because in the past players were abusing Merc's (unlimited Energy from Big steals) & Blood/Mage's with Deadly Aims at max for super damage & no sacrifice. Now with this last update its all contrary & how it should be because its now more fun for those who like a challenge that requires 'thought, skill & some luck.'

Great Job Dev's, I personally think this was smartest update in Omega.

See thing about reroute is, it worked because you have to hit your opponent to win the battle, with battery that's not the case. They're getting the energy regardless, you have no control over how it goes, it just happens, BAM. Could do without the biased.

Guys guys people are complaining about these caster mages thing is their the easiest thing in the world to counter few little points

1) Their almost always running extreme dex / tech low on the opposite stat exploit it.
2) every single spell they have is energy its their only real damage their strength + support usually is relatively low exploit it (decent tech and a l1 energy shield their life is over)
3) if you've took note of 2 decent tech means if your a bh your low level emp is enough to make them completely useless if timed right .

They aren't hard to deal with.

Techmage energy gaining is huge broplem.

Heal looping too.

Im play mercenary. i lose every battle. Why? Because if i using my Atom smaher. Techmage using instanly assimilation. Techmages using battery if they need more energy. This making atom smashing pretty useless.



Tech mages is infinite energy. it is huge advance to all techmages.

I can beat Tclmerc yes. But no techmage.

Battery Backup needs a nerf, a 50% restore at max lvl would fit but giving them 45-50 around lvl 8-10 it just a bit powerful.

@Valkyrie Knight: I have seen some using such combo already.

Blood Mages were OP (very strong) for nearly '2 YEARS' using that brainless Strength build with 'Intimidate' & max 'Deadly Aim' to abuse damage with no sacrifice every '2 Turns' & the only time Tech Mages get strong as a tank, players 'CRY/TROLL' so much they get their wish to come true 1 week after last nights update. I can't believe Techs will get nerfed, their not even that OP they lose against well built STR builds or builds that use a lot of Energy Steal & Stun skills!
Its outrageous i'm furious & going on like this 'Epic Duel' will never get know where until players can adapt well with 1 & another in a more intelligent & strategic way..
Lol! I bet Blood Mages trolled the most now that their beloved brainless 'Deadly Aim' is gone, they can't live without it.

Ps: Just feels like this game is becoming a waste of money/time, all this change of builds occur way too often & changing class isn't cheap.

TM are ridiculously OP. Nothing compared to a BM's "overusedness".

I was stupid enough to change into a TLM before this change and beating a TM is impossible no matter what build you have.
If the devs do not care for this game, I am probably quiting or just change into a TM since that is the official OP build now lmao.

Hopefully the devs are aware of this and fix it this week or at the lastest next week. Untill then adios Goodbye ED.

They are strong but not overpowered.

Strength builds still beat them. Most people are having trouble with casters now because they lost the ability to control their energy.

Remember before this a TM's energy was controlled by their opponent and wasn't given back in such large amounts. Now because reroute is gone, the opponent no longer has that control which in turn has buffed TM.

Also if anything it is only caster TM's that got buffed. any other TM build out there got nerfed since reroute and deadly aim was removed. So TM as a whole is not overpowered.

give me a break ppl when bms were oped and u ppl played nothing was said now that tm are good u cry all the time plz make a build to the new cores and l am talking to the bms that are the ones that are mad. nothing is said about the mercs static smash that is oped but most of the bms cry about when they get beat by a weaker class

@Elite Tuga: I don't understand why you're making the comparison from the past when we had passives. Post P2A only. I feel your comment is extremely biased just because you're a TM, (an edge is an edge so to speak since this has happened with other classes in the past(Bloodmage,Cyber,Merc, etc) If so why not bring back Cybers old static charge?(Also a class you had happened to complain about recently). Not only that this skill is actually better than the old static.* But as you've said they're beatable with bounty hunter the only class that seems to have a niche against it, sadly not everyone uses bounty hunter and the game is supposed to be balanced so that all classes are given a fair shot. Not Rock, Paper, Scissors (referring to classes, this naturally happens with build variation).

Please note that you have two unavoidable sources of energy as is, one that takes away and potentially deals 85% damage. With the implementation of cores costing energy as well, and every class not having a viable energy revenue. This gives TM one hell of an advantage.

From what they've said P2A is to make things more strategic. It's a pain seeing mages spam unavoidable heavy shots, and get away with it only because they have a superior ammo feed that allows them to do such. But no this isn't the case for all mages some actually use it to it's full potential, but I've seen it happen this way and still come out with a victory.

Don't bring back the old one, I'd just replace the current one with something better*

Actually if they brought back the old static for cyber hunter it would be a better version of assimilation. I say this because before the only thing that stopped it was a block which negated damage, which thanks to the change made doesn't do that anymore. Cyber hunter would have a granteed way of getting back energy without fail as well.

Plus unlike battery back up you get damage from it, which adds to your rage, and if it were blocked you would still get the same energy since it would work with potential damage and not actual like it is now. Not to mention static could be used more often than battery back up due to the cool down of the moves.

So while battery back up surpasses the old static in energy gain that is all battery back up can do. You gain no rage, you don't do damage, and you give up a turn to use it which is some cases could break you.

I am not saying the move isn't strong. I am just saying that this move only serves one purpose where as static can do several things.
