So here is what i am thinking.

since people complain a lot that parasite doest work well enough i think a few tweaks could make it cater a lot more to the players needs. Since it returns a % of their energy, it can be unreliable, if opponent spends their energy while you wait for the return. What i propse is that it not only leaches them but return a % of the energy they spend: thus you get a benefit for thm trying to waste it. if the skill is this weak, then it doesnt necessarily need a counter: you can cast it at 0 energy, and not make enough to cast your lowest cost, lowest level ability. It does render the class useless in the sense that in 2v2, they are reliant on their partner for energy, and on pure strength for 1v1.. a class should not be reliant on others in my opinion. If you make it regain energy at a much slower rate than mercs or bounty hunters, then i feel it should at least return more to you than those other free skills do.

Additionally, the % returned could be raised a little, by level. at level 40, i think have a base % return of 20 would be fine, as the class itself does improve more with level than just stats (as also visible in energy cannon versus mercs bunker buster.) perhaps increasing the base percentage return of the skill, at every 8 levels, thus you have the last increment when reaching level 40.

Or why not just make it work off of fixed numbers like poison?

my problem with fixed numbers is that what is fair with fixed numbers? it become OP or UP WAY too quickly. if you can remove 50 from an opponent each turn and gain that... then that is a 300 energy point difference you cause.

I say keep it a percentile, but give regen off of what they waste so you cant steal it, thus the skill is effective "unavoidable"

The same way poison is. It could increase with level also.

The problem I see with your suggestion, is if someone parasite me, I'd just not use energy, that way they couldn't get any.

nono, they still drain waht you have, but also take fraction of what you use, guaranteeing their return. However, they gain less if you dont use it, but you lose more that way. They gain more if you do use energy, however, then you can use it up instead of letting it go to waste... Thus they regain it whether or not you are using your energy

That would be really complicated to code. I mean sure it's a neat idea, but is it even doable?

easily... if you can code for HP return off of damage dealt, then you can easily do the same or energy spent. :P

But you're coding for TWO complex codes on one skill.

it would be possible. you can combine infinite number of codes into one skill. I dont know java, but i do know some python and Turing. This should be very much doable from my experiences.

Or they could fix the current bug that the skill has that shouldn't even be in PVP. That would really help the skill IMO since because of this I am only seeing strength BM's working somewhat.

last I saw it was still draining the equal of 2-3 energy which is extremely poor IMO.
