Energy Parasite is an interesting move indeed, a very unique concept and very well balanced. But unfortunately, very ineffective and easy to manipulate. It works as being an applied DoT to energy, draining a % of the targets current energy and returning 1.5 to the caster. Very easy to manipulate, and not very effective if the target already has even semi low energy. An example, if the enemy has 300 energy left a max energy parasite will only drain 45 energy and return 67. Or even applying it while the enemy has high energy, the target will just be encouraged to burn the energy.

My suggestion is to make the drain work off of fixed numbers, similar to poison moves, but returning all of the energy drained over a period of 3 turns.

MY Energy Parasite:
1- Drain and return 90 energy (30, 30, 30)
2- Drain and return 110 energy (36, 37, 37)
3- Drain and return 130 energy (43, 43, 44)
4- Drain and return 150 energy (50, 50, 50)
5- Drain and return 170 energy (56, 57, 57)
6- Drain and return 190 energy (63, 63, 64)
7- Drain and return 210 energy (70, 70, 70)
8- Drain and return 230 energy (76, 77, 77)
9- Drain and return 250 energy (83, 83, 84)
10- Drain and return 270 energy (90, 90, 90)

This idea could be edited. This is just the basis of my idea.
Thoughts and ideas and critic would be appreciated. Any ways to edit it to be more effective as well. Comment on what you think.

I can see how effective this would make Energy Parasite, which i think it should be applied. It would have to be mdified for bosses though right, or stay fixed?

Overall good idea, but I find it hard to support cause I believe all the energy drainer/gainers skills are in there own way players passives. Less diversity, and the game is heavily relied on these skills.

I agree that the Parasite requires a buff, but this is just too extreme. With your suggestion of the skill it will be the most overpowered skill in the game. Let's compare it to Static Smash, a balanced energy drainer.

An average Static Smash drains around 300 energy with a 225 energy regain. This is with moderately high strength.
Your Energy Parasite Drains 270 EP and regains 270 EP. Already, your Parasite has more energy flow.

Static Smash is blockable, while Energy Parasite is not.
This is a HUGE increase in power for the Energy Parasite. If Static Smash is blocked, the player is practically screwed over (I know from experience).

Static Smash requires a club, while Energy Parasite requires nothing.
Again, an increase in power for the Energy Parasite. 5 Stats and 1 Damage is a game-changer, especially if fights last over 10 rounds.

Static Smash does not give rage OR deal damage, while Energy Parasite deals damage AND gives rage. \

Clearly, your version of Energy Parasite is more powerful than Static Smash in practically every way. Energy Parasite needs a buff, but not this extreme.

You have to remember, it takes 3 turns for full effect. It doesn't happen immediately. This would also have the current requirements of energy parasite, while static smash has no requirements at all, and can improve with strength. I also said the idea as changeable. I looked at the current energy parasite, assimilation, and poison for inspiration for my idea.

I agree about the amount regained/stolen is way to much. If this was applied to the game it would have to be less. I can get 270 back only when i'm really lucky. Average i get about 150-180 back I'd say.

Stolen is too much? Only 270? A max static grenade at 45 support can drain 350 energy, then return is much lower though, only 105. Now I DID say it could be changed. If you have a lower cost you think is fair, by all means let me know.

While I still don't particularly like that they have to regain energy over time as this allows windows of opportunity for opponents to recharge their energy drain skill and use it on a BM as they're trying to recover energy for healing or using mark of blood. I do find however this to be a reasonable change. As Gearz have said it is a lose lose skill for when battles drag on more than 4 turns, its impossible to steal energy to do anything and unlike Asim it only does 50 dmg and is game breaking (in a bad way) if you have to use this on rage or have to wait a crucial turn.

This drain in my opinion if made like this would be overpowered. For one if it always drains said fixed amount it will not be obeying the laws of thermodynamics. Remember the last update when the staff nerfed static smasher and Static grenade so it would obey these laws? Well every energy drainer/gainer obey's these laws even Assimilation which everyone is calling OP.

All I would have to do is just attack someone with this drain, and then even if they don't have the energy to drain I would be getting energy out of thin air with this in the form of energy drain/gain. That right there would make this drainer overpowered in effect.

No of course you wouldn't be getting energy out of nowhere. If the enemy ran out, then you wouldn't receive any. If the enemy had only 15 left, then that's all you'd get out of it, and so on and so forth.

I don't think its very OP. Its 3 turns and compared to TM which has Battery AND Assimilation (assim alone can steal about 250). In Parasite the opponent can nullify its effect by draining his/her own energy faster. Its seems pretty equal.

Of course I could be using the wrong comparison because TM energy control seems pretty OP

@above
Seems OP or Is OP? There's a big difference.

Is OP. With TM at the moment. The energy control is crazy.
