Taking a Screenshot Popular Screen Capture Programs: Microsoft Default - Jing - Lightshot - Snipping Tool These are just some of a wide variety of programs you can use to take screenshots. Experiment, look around and find your preference! Microsoft Default Alternative Tools: If your computer uses any of the operating systems below, please skip directly to Snipping Tool for an easier method. Windows Windows 7 Home Premium

Windows 7 Enterprise Other Programs Necessary:- Paint
- Any image editing software (ie. Photoshop, Gimp, etc.)
Instructions:1. Open the window or tab you wish to take a screenshot of. 2. Click the PrtSc button on your keyboard. The image should now be on your clipboard. 3. Open an image program such as Paint. 4. Type CTRL + V while the image editing software’s window is active. The image should now appear in the program. 5. Use the Crop tool on the program to select the area you wish to keep visible in your bug report. 6. Save the image on a location that you can easily find it at. 7. Advance to the Uploading a Screenshot section of this guide. Jing System Requirements: Windows Windows XP, Vista, 7 or 8
Mac Mac OS 10.6.8 +, QuickTime 7.5.5 + Download Links: Instructions:1. Mouseover the Jing Sun and select Capture. 2. Drag and select the area you wish to capture in your image. 3. Click the Capture Image icon. 4. Click the Share via Screencast.com button. 5. Once your image has been completely uploaded, click View on Screencast.com. 6. Simply copy the URL of the new window that has just opened, paste this URL on your bug report. Lightshot System Requirements: Windows App Windows XP, Vista or 7

Opera Add-On Opera Download Links: Instructions:1. Open the window or tab you wish to take a screenshot of. 2. Click the PrtSc button on your keyboard. You will be brought to an interface where you can select an area in the screen. 3. Drag your cursor to create an area you wish to take a screenshot of. 4. When you have completed taking your screenshot, click the second button from the left, the Upload button. 5. After a few seconds, your upload will complete at the bottom right corner of your screen, generating a URL. 6. Click the Copy button, and paste the URL onto your bug report. Windows 7 Enterprise Instructions:1. Open the Snipping Tool program. 2. Once opened, you will automatically be prompted to drag your cursor and select an area to capture an image. 3. Click File > Save As and select a folder to save the file in that is easy to locate. 4. Advance to the Uploading a Screenshot section of this guide. Some screen capture programs have the option to upload your image to the web immediately after you take the image. You DO NOT need to continue reading further if you've used this method.
