In times when strength builds got nerf, support build got nerf, luck factor got nerf, the game is full of tank builds that make battles way too long.

Replace one skill in each class with a version of poison, or give more skills that ignore defense.

It doesn't have to be the same, like:

1) Deals no initial damage, only applies poison for 3 turns, 15 per turn.

2) Poison shield. You apply a shield for 3 turns. That shield poisons anyone who damages you for 10 poison per turn for 3 turns if they damage you.


3) Enemy hits you for 85% damage and will apply a poison to you. The poison only starts 2 turns after and deals 42 damage(only deals the poison a single turn). You can heal it before it deals the poison.


And if you don't agree with poison for all classes, then defense ignore skill:

1) Skills like bludgeon, double strike, berserker get 20% defense ignore but lower % damage instead.
2) skills like plasma bolt, fireball get 10%-20% defense ignore but lower damage instead.

All classes already have a move that ignores defense and/or resistance

BH/CH have cheap shot
Merc has bunker blaster
Tactical merc has Frenzy
BM has Plasma cannon and supercharge
TM has Fire scythe and supercharge

Well if you're talking about the probability, then it actually makes battles shorter if people deflect/block less often.

Tlms with poison dealing 130 damage for 3 turns barely affects the duration of a match. What difference will 10 or 42 damage make.

Replacing Fire Scythe with a poison skill would be nice. Fire Scythe is a very bad replacement
for Deadly Aim and only works for strenght builds which do benefit by Bludgeon way more.
With all that corrections in balance it just would be fair if every class would have a poison skill.
As BMīs Fireballs does get hated like TMīs Fire Scythe it could be replaced by a poison skill too.
Then all classes would have a posion skill like they already have skills that ignore defenses,
buffs, and do pure damage. The only thing TMs miss beside a poison skill is a critical hit skill.

The only problem I see with this is I already have barely any motivation to change classes because they honestly all feel the same.

And then we add poison to all classes or most others. Now there is near 0 reason to ever change.

To me they do not feel the same. But why should 3 classes have the poison skill bonus
while the other 3 classes dont ? Poison has been made very powerfull and now is a key
skill versus low HP tanks. Skills like Fire Scythe and Fireball cannot compensate this
as they improve with strenght only and seem to be inefficient.

Balancewise they should adjust skills to keep the unique attributes of classes rather than add/replace new ones.

An idea would be to lower the base damage of bunker buster/plasma cannon, remove the high crit chance, but massively increase the armor shred so it is a skill that is individually meant to murder tanks and no one else. Likewise other classes should get skills that are heavily based off of %-health damage so that they chunk high HP low defense enemies very easily but don't have as much effectiveness against tanks.

A core that adds bonus armor ignore or a % of enemy max health damage to all weapons would be a good idea.

Mother are you kidding, have you seen a person get over 200 damage with frenzy as a normal strike unless having 600 primary damage which is a fast lose build xD
Frenzy even on f5 when used normally does 30-50 damage which is not even close to a defense ignore move it is pretty much a troll after the nerf to strength.
Only when used on rage, risking blocks, does it give 50-100 energy pretty much useless but kinda ok when you need a quick heal.

Doesn't change the fact that it is a move that ignores defense/resistance and add to the fact that TLM has poison which is something the OP also suggested.

It means it isn't needed due to this suggestion in a sense already being in the game with some of the classes having at least two moves is that have this effect.

Oops forgot about about maul for merc so here is the list

BH/CH cheap shot, poison
Merc Bunker blaster, Maul
BM Plasma cannon, super charge
TM Fire scythe, Super charge
TLM Frenzy poison

So at the end of the day all the classes have either

A) One poison move and one move that ignores defense/resistance
B) 2 moves that ignore defense and/or resist
