"Camp Gonnagetcha" opens to the public We are putting the Campy back in the iconic "B-Horror" Camp experience Join a cabin (side)... the Drickens or the Frogzards Battle in our first ever FACTION WAR to unlock special rewards War is coming to AQ3D. And prehaps the most important war ever fought in any AE game to boot: Drickens Or Frogzards? But... we don't actualy know anything about how wars will work yet. I have heard from some staff's twitter that they want AQ3D's wars to be the best ones yet. That the So called Battleon War Of Ashfall (or whatever we should call it) was not a actual war in war terms but just something thrown together, and that the real war system will be a lot better. But... we don't really know anything ABOUT AQ3D wars. In AE games, wars range from the silly to the serious, from the meaningless to deciding the fate of the universe. We have had great victories... and horrific losses. But we don't actualy know what direction wars will take in AQ3D. I mean let's be honest, it's probably both, and that is a good thing. But there's other questions too. For example, for all you loot hoarders: How will rewards/loot work? I know in other games war loot would often go rare. But AE have made it clear they want as few perm rares as possible in this game. (I agree with this but whether you do or not is not the point here). So how will war loot work here? Will it go rare? Will it rotate, or have a growing cataloge added to each war? Will such a cataloge';s items represent the war EG Dracolich Armor for a Dracolich Invasion? Wuill there be special war tags or something? How will wars reward people who were there at the time? Most importantly can I still get my Dark Knight Set? I recall seeing a DN once that I've not been able to find since regarding wars, about how the team wanted to have them change the landscape and political climate of Lore. In a 2D game you just need the art assests drawn, but I'm not sure how that would happen here. Updating 3D maps to change throughout a war seems much harder then a 2D one. Really, I'm curious about how a lot of war systems in AQ3D will work, since it seems many of AQ3D's otherwise normal conventions wreck havoc with the idea of them. So I ask you all, staff, players, whatever: How do you see war working? WHat is it good for in AQ3D?
