This is just a general comment, not any kind of complaint, but I've noticed within the last few wars but particularly this one that individual war mobs are frequently much more souped up HP-wise than they used to be. To make sure I wasn't imagining things, I went to Serenity Before the Storm and played through a few waves- at my current level (45) a balanced monster in SBtS has 200-300 HP, whereas in the current war they range from just over a hundred to 700+. (I don't use guests, just my baby dragon sometimes.)

My Death Knight build used to be fine for tearing through a wave a minute, but now that I need several turns for at least two of the mobs in a wave it takes considerably longer. I assume the increase in monster HP is to slow down people who are eating massive numbers of waves, but it definitely gives wars a different flavor when you're doing fewer, more difficult waves, than when you're racing to maximize your speed on a large number of easy waves. What do other people on the forums think about this?

Greetings, I, the Sandman, greets you.

I have seen what you say, though the mobs health do vary, most of the ones I encounter are 200-300, rarely 700. It is no bother to me. I do suggest if you would be farming, to take some guests. Maybe Sir Leon or Artix.

Have a nice Christmas.

I personally like the greater variety in the more recent war waves? Some monsters have more HP, some have healing or are harder to hit, etc. And this war introduced a 3-fight wave that all of higher HP. It does slow things down a little (and I'll admit that with Doomknight I can still get through most things in one turn with myself and a pet kid dragon) but it helps hold my interest for longer.

Usually guests and such deal enough damage to make up for increased HP, I think?

Hmmm, I should probably use guests more often- I got my DA only about a year ago, & prior to that I didn't really use guests at all except for some very hard story quests where I needed extra healing. Much handier to be able to gather party members from the Book of Lore.

Waves still go fast with Chaosweaver.

Although,I used to do Ancient Exosuit because of the fastest animations, but that doesn't work all that much anymore.

Use Atrea class and stun monsters. The damage is enough to kill in 3 turns.

I'm level 87, and the majority of monsters I fought in the last war were around 300-450ish HP with some being as low as 250 or as high as 900+ (maybe, I wasn't paying much attention because they went down in 2 turns). All but the 900+ were killed with just 1 normal attack as a Riftwalker.

It had been a long time since I had done a war before this one so I don't know for sure, but they're probably higher because we have more resources in the game to be stronger than we used to.
